Geeta (Japanese: オモダカ Omodaka) is the chairwoman of the Pokémon League in Paldea, as well as the chairwoman of NaranjaS/Uva Academy'sV school board. She is Paldea's highest-ranked Champion-level Trainer, the strongest among the region's Champion-ranked Trainers, and the only character in the games with the Trainer class Top Champion (Japanese: トップチャンピオン Top Champion). Geeta is widely known across Paldea as La Primera (Japanese: トップ Top), literally Spanish for "The First", a title derived from her positions as Top Champion and chairwoman.
In the core series games
Geeta is depicted as having a caring and wise personality, along with a calm and pragmatic demeanor. She actively supports the growth of Trainers, as shown when she acknowledges Nemona's enthusiasm for battling and her desire for a personal rival, noting that Nemona approaches her battles with the player with a level of seriousness she had not previously shown, even against herself. She also takes particular interest in the player's progression to Champion rank. Geeta further remarks that she is "utterly incapable of holding back when it comes to Pokémon battles".
As Top Champion and chairwoman of the Pokémon League (and the academy), Geeta oversees Paldea's Gyms and the Elite Four. She says the Gym Leaders were "handpicked by me personally", and Rika adds that Geeta's skills were so great she "was able to strong-arm all of us into joining the Elite Four". During the Elite Four battle, Larry states "the boss told me to use a different type here…take [complaints] up with La Primera", confirming his Flying-type assignment came from Geeta but without him explicitly disliking her for that. In Gym inspections, Katy explains she's asked to "go soft" because her Gym is near the academy and attracts many first-timers; Tulip says she's "not exactly [Geeta’s] biggest fan", since "that bewitching aura of hers overlaps too much with my own style". Grusha admits inspections make him anxious—having already given up pro snowboarding, "if she takes away the talents I still have to show, then what'll be left?" Meanwhile, Ryme briefly vents that Geeta sent the player "instead of comin’ out here herself", before cooling off.
Rika also praises Geeta directly before the Top Champion fight: "You won't find a mightier Champion." And when the player delivers their inspection report, Geeta mentions the academy entrance hall "was renovated a few years ago, and I was the one who came up with the new design", which is why it's filled with books. As for inspection cadence, Grusha says League-mandated checks happen "a few times a year", not just annually.
Victory Road
After the player has obtained all eight Gym Badges and defeated the Elite Four, they can battle Geeta, the Top Champion of Paldea's Pokémon League, on the building's rooftop. The player emerges as a Champion-ranked Trainer upon victory, while Geeta and the Elite Four members congratulate the player. Upon exiting the building, the player is greeted by Nemona, who excitedly asks the player whether they have become a Champion already. She wants to immediately challenge them to battle, but Geeta reminds her that “Champions must be understanding toward their opponents” and advises she let the player rest before finding a more suitable battlefield.
★ Starfall Street ★
Geeta is mentioned, but not seen, in this storyline. After the player successfully completes Operation Starfall and reforms Team Star, Penny confesses to Director Clavell that she illegally hacked the Pokémon League's LP management system to reward them. Clavell brings Geeta to the academy to decide on Penny's consequences. However, the two ultimately praise Penny for her technical skills and Geeta recruits her into voluntarily helping her with engineering for the League, inviting Penny to work there after she graduates.
Post-game
After the player's adventure in Area Zero, Clavell and Nemona decide to host a Pokémon battle tournament to test the player's strength as a Champion. Geeta agrees to give the Pokémon League's support in sponsoring the event, but when Nemona invites Geeta to participate, Geeta is initially unable to do so as she is preoccupied by her imminent Gym inspections. The player agrees to do the inspections in Geeta's stead, giving her time to compete in the event, now named the Academy Ace Tournament, appearing as the player's final opponent when it is held for the first time. She can be battled as a random final opponent in subsequent Academy Ace Tournaments.
The Indigo Disk
After the player becomes Champion of the BB League, Geeta travels to Unova's Blueberry Academy with Rika to ask the player, Carmine and Kieran's assistance in venturing through Area Zero with Briar. She gives the player the Indigo Disk to access the Area Zero Underdepths before leaving with Rika. Afterwards, Geeta can be invited back to Blueberry Academy as a special coach, where she can be rematched with an altered team. She may also interact with other Trainers in the League Club Room; in one instance, Geeta, when talking with Poppy, discovers that Poppy is trying to draw a picture of her, which is a nod to Geeta's concept art.[2]

In Infiltrating the System! Naranja Academy in Danger!, Geeta was talking with Ryme and Larry during the Naranja Academy tournament. Later, she, alongside Clavell were in the staffroom with Liko and Grusha. Geeta and Clavell informed Liko that Grusha re-evaluated his thoughts and passed Liko in her implementation test due to her heroic acts of fighting against the Explorers and winning to protect the school. Geeta further complimented Liko on how her battling skills are truly worthy of using Terastallization in battle, much to Liko's surprise and joy.
In Shine on, Terastallization! Liko vs. Roy!, Geeta and Rika met up with Liko to discuss the results of her training, she then watched Liko's battle against Roy.
In Over the Top!, Geeta battled against Liko, Roy, and Dot to test their strength and see if they are fit to enter Area Zero. Geeta managed to defeat Roy and Dot before losing to Liko, resulting in her loss and giving the Rising Volt Tacklers permission to enter Area Zero.
In HZ101, Geeta meet Liko and the others again as she still believes the Rising Volt Tacklers are not enemies. After attending a lecture by Dot about the Strong Sphere with Clavell, Geeta decided to appoint Jacq to study Laquium and its effects on Pokémon.

In the manga

Pokémon Adventures
Geeta debuted in PASV12. She, along with Rika, was first seen watching the Gym battle between Scarlet and Iono in Levincia. Later that night, Geeta and Rika encountered Scarlet and tried introducing themselves to her, only for the latter to coldly ignore them.
Later, Geeta, Rika, Poppy, and Hassel appeared outside the Treasure Eatery to greet Larry. Geeta explained that everyone came to investigate a report the Pokémon League received claiming that Larry attacked some Trainers unprovoked, though noted it was likely false. Larry clarified the Trainers he fought were Team Star members harassing an Uva Academy student, which he noted was worse than their usual acts of misbehavior. When Geeta mentioned a fake student hired by Raifort to look for the treasures of ruin, Rika remembered seeing Raifort with Scarlet the night they met and concluded the latter was the fake student in question.
Later, Nemona received a phone call from Geeta, who requested that she come meet with her at the Treasure Eatery. Geeta specified the meeting was for Champion-ranked Trainers only, so Nemona was forced to temporarily split off from traveling with Scarlet.

- Main article: Geeta (Obsidian Flames 188)
Geeta was introduced as a Supporter card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game during the English Scarlet & Violet Series (the Japanese Scarlet & Violet Era). It was first released in the Japanese Ruler of the Black Flame expansion and the English Obsidian Flames expansion, with artwork by kirisAki. An ultra rare version with artwork by the same illustrator and a special illustration rare version of the card with artwork by DOM were released in the same sets. It allows players to search their deck for up to 2 Basic Energy cards and attach them to one of their Pokémon; the trade-off, however, is that none of the player's Pokémon can attack after the card is used until the end of that player's turn.
