A Ruffian (Japanese: 怖(こわ)いお兄(にい)さん Scary Dude) is a type of Pokémon Trainer introduced in Generation IX. They can be battled throughout the land of Kitakami.

Ruffian was introduced as a Supporter card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game during the English Scarlet & Violet Series (the Japanese Scarlet & Violet Era). It was first released in the Japanese Battle Partners expansion and the English Journey Together expansion, with artwork by Hideki Ishikawa. An ultra rare version with artwork by the same illustrator was released in the same sets. This card allows the player to discard a Pokémon Tool card and a Special Energy card from 1 of their opponent's Pokémon.
