An Infielder (Japanese: やきゅうせんしゅ Baseball Player) is a type of Trainer class introduced in Generation V. They are men who play baseball, found only in the Big Stadium in Nimbasa City. They wear the standard baseball jersey, pants, and cleats along with a hat.

Infielders use Pokémon of different types.

• Although labelled as Infielders, they assume a stance that is used by pitchers before throwing a pitch. That and how they change their lead Pokémon between encounters may be a reference to how pitchers tend to change their pitch selection during games.
