The Asado Desert (Japanese: ロースト砂漠Roast Desert) is a large desert in the Paldea region, stretching a portion of the region's West Province. It contains the city of Cascarrafa.
Geography
The Asado Desert connects to West Province (Area Two) on the west and Cascarrafa on the east. The desert is very large and there will often be a sandstorm occuring. Like many other locations in Paldea, Asado Desert has a watchtower that serves as a fly point, however unlike other watchtowers, this one is mostly buried underneath the sand. There are several large rock formations throughout the desert that can be climbed once the player has unlocked the ability to climb walls on their Koraidon or Miraidon.
After acquiring a Moltres Treat from Snacksworth, Moltres will spawn in this area as a static encounter. If defeated, it can be battled again after the game has been rebooted, provided that over one hour has passed in Nintendo Switch's internal clock since its defeat. It is coded to never be Shiny.
A colored background means that the Pokémon can be found in this location in the specified game. A white background with a colored letter means that the Pokémon cannot be found here. Probability weight indicates the likelihood that a Pokémon will spawn at a certain point in this location relative to others that can spawn there. A higher probability weight generally indicates that a Pokémon is more likely to spawn. Pokémon with the highest or lowest level requirements may not spawn in every possible location within this area. A bolded level range replaces the Pokémon's non-bolded level range after the player has completed The Way Home.
↑ 2.02.1This Pokémon only spawns in the western desert
↑Only appears after defeating the Lurking Steel Titan
↑ 4.04.1This Pokémon will always have a scale of 255 and a Naughty Nature
There are few valid "Rocky Area" and "Flower" biome spawn point in this area, which can make it more difficult to find specific Pokémon that only spawn from that point.
Later, Violet and Arven passed through Asado Desert again, though the Quaking Earth Titan was nowhere in sight. Cassiopeia contacted them and informed Violet that Team Star's Schedar Squad was planning on increasing their security following Violet's victory over Giacomo and suggested he'd head to their base to deal with them before the new security could arrive. While Violet agreed, Arven was more eager to find the Quaking Earth Titan and its Herba Mystica in order to heal his Mabosstiff more. As such, Violet chose to leave Arven behind in the desert, telling him to contact him if he found the Titan. Worried that Violet would have less allies now to take on Team Star, Arven contacted Clavell for help. In the next chapter, Arven was surprised to see Miraidon returning with Scarlet instead of Violet.
