History

Ann first appeared in The Pendant That Starts It All (Part One). She met Liko when she arrived at the room they were sharing together. After getting the Pokédex installed on her Rotom Phone, she selected Oshawott to be her first partner Pokémon. The next day, Ann had her first ever Pokémon battle, using Oshawott to battle against Liko's Sprigatito, which was soon called off. One night, Ann spotted Liko looking at her grandmother's pendant and asked about it.
After Liko noticed how close she and Oshawott were compared to how close she was with her Sprigatito, Ann gave her advice. When the time came for a school break, Ann headed home, leaving Liko at the academy.
Ann reappeared in For Sure! 'Cause Sprigatito's with Me!, when she spoke to Liko after she had joined the Rising Volt Tacklers.
In The Door That Never Opens, Ann spoke to Liko when she attended a class online. During the conversation, the two talked about the live stream that Nidothing would do in a few hours.
In The Lonely Hatenna, she contacted Liko and revealed that she had acquired her second Pokémon in the form of her Sandshrew.
In The Wild Pair, Friede and Cap!, Ann spoke with Liko before class and noted that she had caught a Hatenna. Ann appeared again when Liko gave her presentation for class.
In Welcome to Naranja Academy!, Ann arrived at Naranja Academy, having enrolled as a temporary student to train for Tera Training. After reuniting with Liko, she met Roy and Dot and had a battle with Liko, using her Dewott to battle against Floragato. After a tough battle, Liko emerged victorious.
During her Tera Training journey, Ann received her challenge, and managed to pass her first exam.
In The Treasure of Eternity, Ann met up again with Liko and her friends and, after being introduced to Terapagos, she spent the day with them. During the return to Naranja Academy, Ann revealed to Liko her real feelings as a Trainer and together they arrived at Mesagoza. In the next episode, Ann stayed with Liko and her friends while they received information that they would participate in a battle against members of Paldea's Elite Four. During the battles, Ann watched the matches with Liko. In Liko vs. Rika! Towards the Battle's End, she watched her friend and Katy's battle against Rika alongside Nemona and Roy.
In The Terapagos I Don't Know, Ann was seen with the other students during Clavell's speech that began the second part of the Training. Despite this, her Gym challenge was not revealed.

In Infiltrating the System! Naranja Academy in Danger!, Ann participated in the Tera Training Student Battle Tournament at the Naranja Academy, where she faced Niko. In the next episode, Ann took care of Terapagos while Liko battled Roy, and during the climax of the battle, Ann joined the others in cheering for her friends. After the conclusion of Tera Training and the tournament, Ann revealed to Liko that she was returning to Kanto to continue her studies at Indigo Academy and that she would like to face Liko again when she is stronger.
Ann reappeared in a flashback in The Pokémon Paradise of Laqua!.
One year later, in Where the Adventure Leads, some time after Liko returned to Indigo Academy, Ann was heard telling her roommate that she was going to be late for class.
In HZ090, Ann was seen with Liko attending a class on type effectiveness. After the class, she went with her new and evolved Samurott for the second part of the class, leaving Liko in the classroom. In the past year, Ann has become one of the best students at Indigo Academy, standing out for the Selection Team, which competes for a spot in the Pokémon League. During a battle against a Trainer and her Wartortle, Liko discovered that Ann had received an offer to join Blueberry Academy from the institution's director.

At night, the two talked about everything Liko had been through in the last few months, which made Liko think about her feelings after the events in Laqua. The next day, Ann talked to Liko about the offer she received and how the possibility of being in the Pokémon League was getting closer and closer. Some time later, Ann tried to defend the Rising Volt Tacklers from some students, seeing that this subject still made Liko sad.
In HZ091, Ann met up with Roy again when he went to the Indigo Academy to seek Liko's help. Then in the cafeteria, the three talked about what happened to the Rising Volt Tacklers and all the public manipulation that Exceed and Spinel did on top of the events in Laqua. When Liko decided to go after Meowscarada, who had disappeared, Ann challenged Roy to a Pokémon battle, where, despite giving her best, Samurott was defeated by Roy's Lucario.
This battle began to draw the attention of some students at Indigo Academy because of Roy's affiliation with the Rising Volt Tacklers. After the battle, it was Liko's turn to battle and Ann served as the referee. Afterwards, Ann was approached by some students due to Roy's presence and Liko intervened and exposed that she herself is a member of the Rising Volt Tacklers, thus revealing the whole truth to those present. After Liko decided to continue traveling with Roy, Ann and Roy had a conversation about how the last year was for Liko and the three said goodbye at the bus stop. Alongside her Pokémon, Ann once again saw Liko start over, this time trying to expose the whole truth.
Character

Ann is an energetic girl who is very extroverted. She has a habit of being messy, but is shown to be considerate, keeping her mess to herself. She expresses concern and encourages her close friend Liko to try and understand her partner Pokémon.
In The Lonely Hatenna, Ann revealed that she wants to be a Trainer that focuses on battles, while Liko was still figuring out her path at the time. In The Treasure of Eternity, Ann revealed that her main goal was the Pokémon League.
A year later, Ann gained an enormous reputation and respect within the Indigo Academy. This prestige led to her receiving an invitation to join other Academies, such as the Blueberry Academy, from director Cyrano himself.
Pokémon
Ann's Pokémon are very close and friendly to each other. Ann is also very attached to her Pokémon, to the point that she considers them the biggest reason she follows through on her dreams.
Despite being a beginner Trainer like Liko, her Dewott managed to stand its ground despite her Pokémon's weakness against Floragato. Ann is also a versatile Trainer, using specific moves on her Pokémon to cover their weaknesses, as analyzed by Rika.
