Trivia

  • Raihan shares his Japanese voice actor, Kosuke Toriumi, with his counterpart from the Pokémon: Twilight Wings miniseries.
  • Raihan & Duraludon are the only sync pair with Gym Leader theme skill whose type doesn't match his specialty type. This pair's type is Steel, but Raihan specializes in the Dragon type.
  • All versions of Raihan use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon) and victory with them. Those Trainers include Gordie, Melony, Piers, Leon, Blue, Lance, Kabu, and Iono.
  • In the Trainer Lodge, Raihan mentions that he took on the Gym Challenge for the first time at the same time as Leon, Sonia, and Nessa.
  • Raihan forming a sync pair with Sandaconda for his 2025 New Year's attire likely references 2025 being the Year of the Snake.

Origin

Raihan's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Duraludon is Raihan's signature Pokémon in the core series games. Duraludon's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Shield.

Gigalith is one of Raihan's lead Pokémon in the Gym battle against him in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Gigalith's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.

Flygon is one of the Pokémon that Raihan uses in the core series games. Flygon's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.

Raihan uses a Sandaconda on his team during his initial Gym battle in the core series games. Sandaconda's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Sword.
