- In his sync pair story, Proton reveals that he caught his Golbat as a Zubat.
Origin
Proton's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. Golbat is a Pokémon that Proton uses when battling the player at the Goldenrod Radio Tower. Golbat's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
