Trivia

  • Teddy is the first playable Trainer based on a generic Trainer class whose Trainer class has been present in Pokémon Masters EX since the game's release.
  • Teddy (Hiker) & Rellor's release corresponded with the start of Golden Week in Japan.
  • In his sync pair story, Teddy reveals that he received his Rellor from a Paldean Trainer he met on Pasio.

Origin

Teddy's design is based on the Hiker Trainer class's appearance from Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. No Hiker is seen using a Rellor in any core series games, but the mud ball rolled by Shiny Rellor resembles a Nugget, which Hikers are often associated with. Rellor's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Scarlet.
