Ranked damage event

A ranked damage event[note 1] (Japanese: ダメージランキング Damage Ranking) is a type of limited-time event in Pokémon Masters EX. Like in the Damage Challenge, players are challenged to deal as much damage as possible to the opponents within a time limit. However, ranked damage events feature three different battles, and the player's score is the sum of the damage dealt across all three battles. Players can earn rare rewards when their total score from all battles reaches certain thresholds for the first time.
Mechanics
All battles in ranked damage events function like Damage Challenge battles: players battle a team consisting of one or three opponents, all with the same weakness type, and try to deal as much damage as possible within a time limit of 180 seconds (3 minutes). When the player completes a battle, they are awarded a certain rank based on their score. The ranks, and the point requirements to reach each one, are the same as the score ranks in the Damage Challenge.
Like in high score events, the battles in ranked damage events can be taken on in any order, but a sync pair which has been used in one battle cannot be used in another battle. Battles can be reset at any time, which allows the sync pairs from that battle to be used in other battles, but the score from that battle is removed from the player's total score until it is completed again. In addition, each battle may have a special rule that restricts the strategies players can use for that battle. This can be an advantage given to the opposing team, such as being immune to status and interference conditions, or a disadvantage given to the player's team, such as reduced ally move damage.
Once the player has completed all battles, they unlock the ranking feature. This compares their best score from all battles to the best score from all players across the world, placing them at a certain ranking depending on their score. The top 10,000 players are considered Master Rank, and all players who are in Master Rank at the end of the challenge period earn event titles based on how they ranked.

Aim for the Top
This event was held from April 29 to May 7, 2025 to celebrate Golden Week. It was promoted as a "special event for all types" because, unlike other ranked damage events, moves that were not super effective could still deal damage to opponents. Total score rewards included Training Tickets and Nuggets, and players could exchange Nuggets for other items in the shop for the special event Rolling in Gold.
This event's title was formatted as Aim for the Top Super Sparring in the Explore menu and Super Sparring: Aim for the Top in mission descriptions (Japanese: 頂上を目指せ!激闘スパーリング! for both). However, the titles awarded to Master Rank players in this event referred to it as Super Sparring No. 10 (Japanese: 第10回激闘スパーリング!).
