Gear event
Gear events[note 1] (Japanese: 装備イベント Gear Event) are a type of limited-time event in Pokémon Masters EX. These focus on a specific type, introduce 3★ gear for that type, and have co-op mode battles against opponents that are weak against that type. Battles reward the player with gear for the featured type and event vouchers that can be exchanged in the shop for items.
Rock-type Gear Event
The Rock-type Gear Event ran from ran from July 8 to 15, 2021. It featured the introduction of 3★ Rock Gear. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Event Vouchers M, which could be exchanged for items in the shop, and Rock Gear, which could be exchanged for upgrade items for 3★ Rock Gear. All battles could be challenged an unlimited number of times except Daily Bonus Battle 1, which could only be challenged once per day.

The only exception is Collecta-ball Poison Gear!, which features battles against Ball Guy & Amoonguss instead of Mina & Granbull, Valerie & Sylveon, and Candice & Abomasnow.
