Flint (Japanese: オーバ Ōba) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. He forms a sync pair with Infernape. The sync pair is obtained during the events of Chapter 12 of the Main Story. The pair's potential can be upgraded to 6★ EX from October 25, 2024, which unlocks Flint's EX style.

Flint also forms a sync pair with Rapidash. This pair can be obtained by exchanging a BP Sync Pair Voucher in the Shop beginning on August 28, 2025. This pair can be raised to 6★ EX since it first released, though it lacks an EX style.

Trivia

Origin

Flint's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. Infernape is Flint's signature Pokémon in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, as well as in his first battle in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Infernape's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Pearl.

Flint uses a Rapidash in most battles against him in the core series games, with it being his lead Pokémon in his initial battles in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Rapidash's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.
