| Description | Ilima is a captain on Melemele Island in Alola. He attended a Trainers' School and has studied abroad in Kalos. He's known to have a fanatic side. |
Ilima (Japanese: イリマ Ilima) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. He forms a sync pair with Gumshoos. This sync pair can be obtained through the general sync pair scout and was first made available on April 4, 2025 alongside the academy event Pasio Academy Opening. The pair's potential can be raised to
6★ EX since it first released, which unlocks Ilima's EX style.

- Ilima & Gumshoos are the first sync pair with the Field role to be made available in the permanent sync pair scout pool.
- He and Courtney are the only sync pairs in the permanent sync pair scout pool to create zones.
- Ilima was the last Trial Captain to be added to Pokémon Masters EX, over three years after the second-to-last Trial Captain, Kiawe, was added to the game.
Origin
Ilima's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon. Gumshoos is Ilima's lead Pokémon in the core series games. Gumshoos's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Moon.
