Take On Team Rocket! (Japanese: ロケット団に挑戦！ Challenge Team Rocket!) was a special battle event in Pokémon Masters EX. It was focused on Team Rocket.
The "Team Rocket Variety Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Giovanni & Rhydon, Archer & Houndoom, Ariana & Arbok, Petrel & Weezing, and Proton & Golbat for the duration of the event.
During this event, players could take on battles against each of the Team Rocket Executives. Each battle awarded the player Gems, a special event title, and a stamp to prove their victory. Obtaining all four stamps allowed players to take on a pair of battles against Sygna Suit Giovanni (Alt.) & Guzzlord; completing these awarded players with another title.
However, only Proton could be battled from the start of the event. One battle against an executive was unlocked every day for the first four days of the event. While the first battle against Giovanni was available from the start, the four stamps from defeating the executives were required to challenge this battle, so it was effectively locked until Archer's battle was unlocked on January 12, 2025.
