The initial version of Minecraft Indev was released on February 6, 2010, at 20:34 UTC.[1] It was announced on TWoN at 20:43 UTC.[2] It introduced farming, hoes, seeds, wheat crops and bread.
Additions
Blocks
- Made by right-clicking a grass block or dirt block using a hoe.
- Become moistened by water, lava[3], water spawners and lava spawners.
- Can turn back to dirt by walking on it.
- Is unobtainable by normal means.

- New food item.
- Restores 5HP health.
- Crafted with wheat.
- Can be used to create farmland blocks.
- Crafted with stick and planks, cobblestone, iron ingot, diamond.
- Can be grown into a wheat crop by planting it on farmland.

- Changed block place animation.
- Plants can no longer be placed without the right block under them.
- Plants now get removed when the block under them is removed.
- The game attempts to place a block on every right click.
- If a block cannot be placed, it still plays the arm swing animation if the target is within reach.

- I is individually culled entities.
- T is "terrain and lighting data".
