During this event, players could earn vouchers from battles that could be redeemed in the shop. All battles could be challenged an unlimited number of times except Daily Extreme Battle 1, which could only be challenged once per day. Extra vouchers were automatically exchanged with coins once the event was finished.
The player could battle using Akari & Samurott or Rei & Decidueye to obtain +0.6× bonus vouchers; Adaman & Leafeon, Irida & Glaceon, Dawn & Turtwig/Grotle/Torterra, or Lucas & Dialga to obtain +0.4× bonus vouchers; and any unlisted Sinnoh sync pairs to obtain +0.2× bonus vouchers.
This event featured the Battle Challenge, where players were challenged to defeat a team of strong opponents. Players could complete event missions by clearing these areas with teams using various theme skills, earning medals and other rewards.
In addition, players could earn a medal for completing all the story areas in the event.
This event serves as a prelude to the Arceus Arc.

Plot
Akari and Rei are caught in a space-time distortion on Pasio, surrounded by aggressive wild Pokémon. Akari's Pokémon have been knocked out, though Rei's Hisuian Decidueye is still standing. Akari sees something sparkling, so she asks Rei to cover her while she runs and retrieves it. She thinks it looks a bit strange, but she grabs it and throws it at a Hisuian Samurott that appeared in the distortion.
Akari and Rei manage to make it out of the distortion, and they wonder where they are, since it does not seem to be Hisui. They hear other voices nearby, and are shocked to discover that they belong to Lucas and Dawn, two people who look just like them. Lucas and Dawn are equally shocked, but they quickly guess that these are Rei and Akari, the people Adaman and Irida told them about when they met. Akari and Rei are confused, so Lucas and Dawn introduce themselves and explain that they are from Sinnoh, and Rei and Akari have ended up in the future. Rei suspects that they were brought here by the space-time rift, and he says it is a familiar feeling. However, he notes to himself that he has not forgotten about the people he met in Hisui. Dawn suggests that they go find Adaman and Irida, which Akari and Rei are happy to do.
When they arrive in town, Akari marvels at all the huge, sparkly, clean buildings and the fact that people and Pokémon live together like it is normal. Rei says that it feels kinda familiar, even though it is the future, and Akari wonders if it is the world Rei originally came from. At Dawn's request, Rei explains that he is not originally from Hisui but rather was sent there by a space-time rift, and Lucas remembers Adaman and Irida mentioning someone like that. Dawn asks if it has come full circle and now Rei is back in his original world, but Rei says that while he does not remember clearly, he thinks this world feels a little different than the world he came from originally. Rei says that he's happy to be part of the Galaxy Team's Survey Corps, and Akari comments that the Galaxy Team is composed of people from all different regions coming together to work in harmony, just like on Pasio. Dawn says that's completely different from the Team Galactic they know, and Lucas says it would have been nice if they had not changed.
Adaman calls out to the group, and Rei turns around to greet him, only to be surprised by the appearance of Giratina. Adaman appears alongside Irida, and Rei asks what they are doing with Giratina. Adaman says it is someone's partner Pokémon, prompting Cynthia to walk out from behind it and greet Rei and Akari, noting their resemblance to Lucas and Dawn. Rei is surprised again, and he comments that Cynthia looks like someone he knows. Adaman knows who Rei is referring to, and he is ecstatic that he got to see Rei and Akari's shocked reactions. Cynthia formally introduces herself as a researcher of myths, and Irida explains that Cynthia wants to hear stories about the Hisui region. She says that Cynthia also has interesting stories to share, and she starts to introduce Giratina to them, but Rei already knows its name—he has seen it before. Irida says that she was shocked when she learned that Giratina is a Pokémon that can go toe-to-toe with Palkia and Dialga, which shocks Akari too. Adaman also mentions that there are Trainers on Pasio who have formed sync pairs with Dialga and Palkia, including Lucas. Irida explains what a sync pair is, and Adaman explains that they have formed sync pairs with their Pokémon—including placing them in Poké Balls—so they can learn more about how Pokémon and people coexist. Rei is surprised by this, but he decides that he will follow their lead and work hard as a sync pair. Akari agrees, since she wants to become a worthy opponent for Rei. Cynthia says she would appreciate it if Rei and Akari would help her with her research into space-time distortions and rifts, which Rei and Akari are happy to help with.
A few days later, Dawn and Barry are training with Rei on the beach, and Dawn is impressed with how quickly he has gotten used to Pasio. Rei says that part of him still remembers being a Trainer in the world he is originally from, so that makes using modern Poké Balls and being a sync pair easy for him. Barry comments that it must be tough being sent to different worlds over and over again, and Rei says it is a little confusing, but no matter what world he is in, people and Pokémon live together, and everyone helps him out. So, he is going to return the favor and help everyone else to the best of his ability.
Meanwhile, Lucas and Akari are training in the forest. Akari tries using her sync move with her Pikachu, but it does not work. Lucas says that sync stones do not work well with Poké Balls from Hisui, but Akari says her Pokémon are scared of modern Poké Balls. Lucas theorizes that since a Poké Ball is meant to be like a home for a Pokémon, Akari's Pokémon are comfortable in the Poké Balls she made and do not want to leave them. Akari says her Pokémon are also confused by Pasio because it is so different from Hisui, and she worries that she will never be able to take her first step as a sync pair. She thinks about the fact that Adaman, Irida, and Rei's Pokémon have all adapted to Pasio quickly and wonders if she is doing something wrong. Lucas assures her that she is not doing anything wrong, that different Pokémon adjust at different rates, and there is no need for her to rush. However, Akari is frustrated that she said she would become a worthy opponent for Rei, but he has surpassed her yet again. Lucas says he gets it—he was a mentor to Dawn and taught her a lot, but she quickly got better at Pokémon battling than him. He says they need to keep trying their best to get stronger and show Rei and Dawn what they can do. Lucas does not want to push her Pokémon too hard, though, so he suggests that she try to form a sync pair with a new Pokémon while hers are still getting used to the new environment. Akari realizes that she has a new Pokémon that she caught in a Pasio Poké Ball, and she sends out the Hisuian Samurott that she caught in the space-time distortion.
Later, Lucas, Akari, and Irida have a battle against Dawn, Rei, and Adaman in the Pasio arena, while Barry and Cynthia watch. Adaman, Irida, and Rei are surprised when Akari sends out Samurott, since they have never seen her battle alongside it before. Lucas says that Akari and Samurott have been growing fast as a sync pair, and Akari says that it was only thanks to Lucas's help. Then she tells Rei that even in this new land, she is still aiming to become a worthy opponent for him, and Rei tells her to show him how strong she has gotten. Lucas tells Dawn that he feels the same way as Akari, and everyone sends out their Pokémon and prepares to battle.
A few days later, Cynthia and Rei are investigating Pasio's ruins when Rei notices something sparkling on the ground. Cynthia says she has never seen anything like it before, and notes that it has a similar shine to a sync stone. She comments that Giratina has been interested in this area for a while and wonders if a special power lurks here. Rei says that this place looks really similar to ruins he saw in Hisui, and Giratina reacts to something. Rei takes a defensive posture like he is expecting something to emerge from the ruins, but nothing appears. Rei apologizes and tells Cynthia it is nothing, but privately he wonders if it is possible. As Cynthia and Rei leave the ruins, something yellow and spiky runs along the ground behind a pillar...

| Rei | (Great... First we end up who-knows-where, and now we're stuck in a space-time distortion!) (Akari's Pokémon are knocked out, and we've run out of items...) (What can we do against these powerful wild Pokémon?) |
| (Something sparkles on the ground a short distance away) | |
| Akari | Is that...? Rei, cover me! I'm taking a chance! |
| (Akari runs off) | |
| Rei | Got it! I'm counting on you, Decidueye! |

| (Rei and Akari walk out of the forest) | |
| Akari | Phew... |
| Rei | We made it somehow. |
| Akari | Y-yeah, it seems so... By the way... Where...are we? It doesn't feel like Hisui... |
| Rei | (I know this feeling...) (But...) |
| ??? | There was a space-time distortion around here, right? |
| Rei | Who's there?! |
| (A bush rustles) | |
| ??? | Whoa?! |
| Akari | A-are you from a nearby village?! |
| (Lucas and Dawn emerge from the bushes and look shocked) | |
| Lucas | Huh?! |
| (Rei and Akari are shocked) | |
| Dawn | They look just like us! |
| Lucas | So that means... |
| (Lucas and Dawn approach Rei and Akari) | |
| Dawn | Um... Are you Rei and Akari? |
| Rei | Wha—how do you know our names?! |
| Lucas | Adaman and Irida told us about you two. They said they have friends in Hisui who look just like us. |
| Akari | You know Adaman and Irida?! |
| Dawn | Yup. They mentioned you when we met a while back... |
| Akari | So we ARE in Hisui? |
| Rei | What's going on? |
| Lucas | Ah, sorry to confuse you. Maybe we should start with introductions, huh? I'm Lucas, and this is Dawn. We're from Sinnoh...the Hisui region in the future. |
| Rei | !!! |
| Akari | What?! |
| (Lucas and Dawn explain more to Rei and Akari) | |
| Akari | I see...but how could something like this happen? |
| Rei | The space-time rift... |
| Akari | Huh? |
| Rei | I think the space-time rift brought us here. If so, then things make a lot more sense. I remember this feeling. I don't remember how I got here this time either, but... |
| Akari | Rei... |
| Lucas | Yeah, that must be it. Adaman and Irida came here through a space-time rift too. |
| Rei | (That's right. Adaman, Irida, and Akari...) (I haven't forgotten about the people I met in Hisui...) |
| Dawn | Both of them are in town, so let's go see them! I think they'll be happy to see some familiar faces! |
| Akari | Yeah, that's true! Please take us to them! |
| (City; a few sync pairs are scattered around as Dawn, Lucas, Rei, and Akari show up) | |
| Dawn | I contacted Adaman and Irida, so they should be here soon... |
| Akari | All these huge buildings! And they're so clean and sparkly! Here on Pasio, people and Pokémon live together like it's normal. So this is the future... It's a little shocking! |
| Rei | It's weird... Even though this is the future, it feels kinda...familiar? |
| Akari | Then...maybe this is the world you originally came from, Rei! |
| Dawn | The world you came from? |
| Rei | Yeah. I'm not actually from Hisui. Or the time it existed... A space-time rift sent me to Hisui from somewhere else. So this has happened to me before. |
| Dawn | Whaaat?! You're kidding! |
| Lucas | Actually, Adaman and Irida were saying there was someone who came through a space-time rift... |
| Dawn | So it's come full circle, and you've made it back to your original world, like Akari said? |
| Rei | No... My memory is faint, but this world still feels a bit different. |
| Akari | I see... |
| Rei | I'll be fine, Akari! I'm used to being part of the Galaxy Team's Survey Corps now! |
| Dawn | The, uh, "Galaxy Team" back in your time is surveying Pokémon in the Hisui region, right? |
| Akari | That's right! So you already know all about it! People from all different regions have come together, just like on Pasio! At our base of operations in Jubilife Village, we work hard and help each other out every day! |
| Dawn | That's completely different from the Team Galactic we know... |
| Lucas | It would have been nice if they hadn't changed... |
| ??? | Hey! Long time no see, Galaxy Expedition Team! |
| (Rei and Akari turn in the direction of the voice) | |
| Rei | Oh, Adama— |
| (Giratina appears) | |
| Rei | Whoa?! |

| ??? | Rei! Akari! It's so good to see you again! |
| (Adaman and Irida walk out from beside Giratina) | |
| Rei | Adaman! Irida! But that Pokémon...! |
| Adaman | Hahaha! Even you're surprised! Apparently it's this Trainer's partner. |
| ??? | So you two are Rei and Akari? |
| (Cynthia walks out from behind Giratina) | |
| Cynthia | You really do look like Lucas and Dawn. |
| Rei | Oh! You're—! |
| Cynthia | What's wrong? |
| Rei | No...it's nothing. You just look like someone I know. |
| Adaman | Yeah, she does look similar, doesn't she? Just as I expected! I'm glad I got to see your shocked faces! |
| Irida | You fool... |
| (Cynthia walks up beside Adaman and Irida) | |
| Cynthia | Allow me formally introduce myself. I am Cynthia. I'm an archeologist researching myths about Pokémon. I've heard a lot about you two from Adaman and Irida. |
| Irida | Cynthia wants to hear stories about our time... Stories about the Hisui region. |
| Adaman | Even a story that means nothing to us could be valuable in this era. It's funny how time flows, isn't it? |
| Irida | Cynthia has some interesting stories too. This strong-looking Pokémon is— |
| Rei | Giratina... |
| Irida | You already knew, Rei? |
| Rei | Yeah, well...I've seen it before. |
| Akari | Rei is a brilliant member of the Survey Corps! |
| Adaman | Absolutely! |
| Irida | The first time we heard about Giratina, we were both shocked. I couldn't imagine there was a Pokémon who could go toe-to-toe with mighty Palkia and Dialga! |
| Akari | With Dialga and Palkia?! |
| Adaman | That reminds me: there are people here on Pasio who understand mighty Dialga and Palkia, and walk alongside them. Lucas is one of them. |
| Irida | He's formed a sync pair with mighty Dialga! |
| Akari | Sync...pair? |
| Irida | Here on Pasio, a sync pair is a Pokémon and a human whose hearts share a strong connection. |
| Adaman | We wanted to learn more about how people and Pokémon could coexist... so we asked our Pokémon to stay in Poké Balls. |
| Rei | You use Poké Balls now?! |
| Adaman | Yeah. People and Pokémon in this era work in harmony and help each other. We've realized that using Poké Balls isn't wrong. We can still coexist with Pokémon. |
| Irida | That's right... Because of my experiences back in Hisui, I can now believe it's possible. |
| Rei | I see. Then I'll follow in your footsteps... and work hard as a sync pair! |
| Akari | Me too! After all, I'm trying to become a worthy opponent for Rei! |
| Dawn | Both of you are so positive! |
| Lucas | If you ever have any issues, we'll help you out! |
| Cynthia | Seems like we're going to have more tough sync pairs on Pasio. Oh, by the way! If you have a bit of time while you hone your skills as sync pairs... There's still so many things we don't know about space-time distortions and rifts. I would appreciate it if you two would help me with my research. |
| Rei | Of course! We'd be happy to help! |
| Akari | Leave it to us! Surveying is the Galaxy Expedition Team's specialty! |
- As Rivals...
| Name | Text |
|---|---|
| (Beach; Rei and Decidueye are training with Barry and Dawn) | |
| A few days later... | |
| Dawn | Wow! You're getting used to Pasio very quickly! And you're already using modern Poké Balls, no problem! |
| Barry | You're really growing as a sync pair too! |
| Rei | I think some part of me still remembers being a Trainer in the world I'm originally from—the one I lived in before Hisui. My memories are fuzzy, but they're there. |
| Barry | I see... It must be tough, being sent to different worlds over and over again. |
| Dawn | Yeah... It must be confusing, not knowing what to do. |
| Rei | Yeah, it's definitely confusing being sent to another world again...but that won't change what I'm going to do. In every world I've been in, people and Pokémon live together, and everyone helps me out. I only met Decidueye because I went to Hisui. |
| (Decidueye cries out) | |
| Rei | So, right now... I'm going to do what I can to help everyone to the best of my ability! ... I guess? |
| Dawn | Wow... You're tough, Rei! |
| Rei | OK! Let's get back to training! |
| Barry | All right! I'm gonna go even harder on you! |
| (Forest; Akari and her Pikachu are training with Lucas) | |
| Meanwhile... | |
| Akari | Now, Pikachu! Let's use our sync move! |
| (Pikachu uses an electric attack, but no sync move activates) | |
| Akari | Didn't work again... |
| Lucas | That's the kind of Poké Ball that's used in the Hisui region, right? If I remember correctly, Rei said that sync stones don't work well with Hisuian Poké Balls. |
| Akari | True. But my Pokémon are scared of these new modern Poké Balls. |
| Lucas | I guess because a Poké Ball is meant to be like a home for your Pokémon... Maybe they're comfortable in the Poké Balls you made, and don't want to leave them. |
| Akari | They also seem to be confused by Pasio... It's so different from Hisui. I'll never be able to take my first step as a sync pair like this. |
| (Flashback to Adaman and Irida with their Leafeon and Glaceon) | |
| Akari | It seems like Adaman and Irida's Pokémon have adapted to Pasio pretty quickly... |
| (Flashback to Rei with his Decidueye) | |
| Akari | Even Rei's Decidueye, and they're all from Hisui too. |
| (Back to present) | |
| Akari | Am I doing something wrong? |
| Lucas | Don't worry, I'm sure that's not it. Every Pokémon's different, even if they're from the same place. So it makes sense that they'd adapt differently too. Adaman and Irida also had trouble adjusting to life on Pasio at first. Time will solve everything, so no need to rush! |
| Akari | Yes, but... I said I would become a worthy opponent for him, but he's gone and surpassed me yet again... |
| Lucas | A worthy opponent for...Rei? |
| Akari | Yes. |
| Lucas | Oh...I see. I understand your feelings. You don't want to fall behind someone you helped mentor, right? |
| Akari | Huh? |
| Lucas | I was a mentor to Dawn, and I taught her a lot... But she got better at Pokémon battling than me in no time. |
| Akari | Really? |
| Lucas | Yup! So before we start feeling sorry for ourselves, let's try our best! Let's get stronger together and show Rei and Dawn what we can do! |
| Akari | Lucas... That's right! We have to show them that their mentors still have what it takes! |
| Lucas | Yup! That's the spirit! Though I don't think it's a good idea to let Pikachu and the others push themselves too hard... How about this? While your Pokémon get used to this new environment... Why don't you try getting to know a new Pokémon? Though there aren't any wild Pokémon on Pasio... |
| Akari | A new wild Pokémon... |
| (Akari and Lucas both think for a moment) | |
| Akari | That's it! I DO have a new Pokémon! I caught it in a Pasio Poké Ball! |
| Lucas | Wait, how?! |
| Akari | I caught it in the space-time distortion. |
| (Akari sends out Samurott) | |
| Akari | Maybe I can form a sync pair with it! |
- The Next Daybreak

|---|---|
| (Arena; Lucas, Akari, and Irida face off against Dawn, Rei, and Adaman) | |
| Barry | Fight hard, everyone! Ahh, I wanna battle too! |
| Cynthia | I wonder how much everyone has grown as sync pairs. |
| Rei | (I wonder what Pokémon Akari teamed up with...) (Is it her Pikachu, or maybe...?) |
| Akari | All right, let's go! |
| (Akari sends out Samurott) | |
| Adaman | Hm? That Pokémon is...! |
| Irida | Has it ever battled alongside Akari before? |
| Rei | Samurott? Is that the one you caught in the space-time distortion?! |
| Akari | It sure is! I decided to become a sync pair with Samurott! |
| Lucas | Akari's Samurott managed to get used to the Poké Ball and Pasio's environment very easily. Since then, they've been growing fast as a sync pair! |
| Akari | It was thanks to Lucas's help! Rei... Even in this new land with new friends... I'll still aim to become a worthy opponent for you! No matter how far ahead you are...I'll catch up to you, I promise! |
| Rei | Of course! Bring it on! Show us how strong you've gotten in this new land, Akari! |
| (Rei sends out Decidueye) | |
| Irida | It seems that Akari has changed here on Pasio, too. |
| Adaman | Yeah, we can't fall behind either. |
| (Adaman sends out Leafeon) | |
| Irida | We're more experienced than you two when it comes to being a sync pair! |
| (Irida sends out Glaceon) | |
| Lucas | Dawn! I feel the same way Akari does! I won't lose to you...as your mentor! |
| (Lucas sends out Infernape) | |
| Dawn | Good! Just what I wanted! |
| (Dawn sends out Torterra) | |
| Adaman | Let's not waste any time, and get on with the battle! |
| (The two teams face off against each other; transition to the ruins) | |
| A few days later... | |
| (Rei and Cynthia are walking through the ruins with Giratina when Rei spots something sparkling on the ground) | |
| Rei | Hm? |
| Cynthia | Is something wrong? |
| Rei | No, something was— |
| (Cynthia walks over to him, and they both look at the sparkling stone) | |
| Rei | What is this? |
| Cynthia | I've come to these ruins many times, but I've never seen anything like it... It has a similar shine to a sync stone, but... Let's take it back and have a closer look. For some reason, Giratina has been interested in this area for a while... Maybe some sort of special power lurks here. |
| Rei | Huh...Giratina was interested? |
| Cynthia | Yes, but these ruins aren't even real. They were constructed and designed based on ruins from different regions, but... |
| (Rei walks over to examine the ruins more closely) | |
| Rei | You know, this place looks really similar to ruins I saw in Hisui. |
| (Giratina cries out) | |
| Cynthia | Is something the matter? Now Giratina's acting up. |
| (Rei looks up at the ruins and then turns around suddenly, but there is nothing behind him) | |
| Rei | ... ... ... ...It's nothing, sorry. |
| Cynthia | Is that so...? |
| Rei | (Could it be...?) (There's no way...is there?) |
| (Rei, Cynthia, and Giratina leave the ruins as a yellow Pokémon runs behind a pillar) | |
Trivia
- This event references Travelers from a Distant Past multiple times:
- Dawn mentions that Adaman and Irida mistook her and Lucas for Rei and Akari when they first arrived on Pasio
- Lucas says that she mentioned people who came to the past through space-time rifts.
- In this event, Cynthia says that her Giratina has taken an interest in Pasio's ruins, which was demonstrated in the villain event Galactic Nightmare as well as the Sinnoh chapter of the Villain Arc.
- Notably, both of those story areas were added to the game before Pokémon Legends: Arceus was released.
- The Pokémon that appears in the ruins at the end of this event appears to be a Togepi. Combined with Rei's and Giratina's reactions to the ruins, this may suggest that Volo is in the ruins.
- This event's first run was the first time 5-Pack Drink Sets were made available.
