Going Beyond Primal Nature (Japanese: 原始の超自然を超えて Surpass the Primal Supernatural) was a Neo Champions event in Pokémon Masters EX. It was focused on the sync pairs May (Champion) & Kyogre and Brendan (Champion) & Groudon.
The "May Master Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting May (Champion) & Kyogre for the duration of the event. The "Triple Feature Master Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Archie & Kyogre, Maxie & Groudon, and Leon & Charizard for the duration of the event. The "Brendan Master Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Brendan (Champion) & Groudon starting on March 2, 2024 and lasting until the end of the event.
This event featured event points, a currency that players could earn by completing battles. Players received rewards based on the number of points accumulated, including 5★ Scout Tickets, a Field Move Candy Coin, a 5★ Power-Up, and medals. All battles could be challenged an unlimited number of times except Daily Extreme Battle 1, which could only be challenged once per day.
The player could battle using May (Champion) & Kyogre or Brendan (Champion) & Groudon to obtain +0.6× bonus vouchers; Steven (Anniversary 2021) & Rayquaza, Archie & Kyogre, or Maxie & Groudon to obtain +0.4× bonus vouchers; and any unlisted Hoenn sync pairs to obtain +0.2× bonus vouchers.
This event featured the Battle Challenge, where players were challenged to defeat a team of strong opponents. Players could complete event missions by clearing these areas with one or fewer sync pairs fainting and sync pairs with specific theme skills on the team.
Additionally, the music and artwork on the title screen were different than usual. The title screen artwork depicted May (Champion) & Primal Kyogre, Brendan (Champion) & Primal Groudon, and Steven (Champion) & Mega Rayquaza, and the background music was
Battle! (Hoenn Neo Champion: May) (Pokémon Masters EX Version). In addition, a special voice-over line of May, Brendan, or Steven saying "Pokémon Masters EX" would play as soon as the game's logo appeared on the title screen, chosen at random each time the title screen was loaded. This lasted from the beginning of the event to March 10, 2025 in order to make way for Arceus Arc chapter 3, Proof of Love.
