A cow is a mob found in many places across the Overworlds. They are usually kept for their meat and milk, though they are also used as test animals for redstone contraptions and as pets.
Behavior
Cows exhibit natural animal behavior. They have been observed shaking off water when wet and are capable of simple movements that resemble dancing.
History
Assembly Required (Redstonia)
Some redstone engineers incorporate cows into their inventions. For example, Mabel can launch cows from her Cow-A-Pult in Redstonia. Similarly, Disco Mickey uses cows in his Bovine Lava Disco contraption. If Jesse chooses to steal Mickey's repeater, the redstone mechanism fails, causing the cows to burn.
Several cows can be seen in a hot air balloon floating above the town; the hot air balloon itself is designed to resemble a cow.
Order Up!
A cow appears in the Overworld beneath Sky City after Isa, Jesse, and Lukas fall from the city.
Jailhouse Block
If Jesse chooses to shear Geoff, a mooshroom, is turned into a regular cow. This deeply upsets Oxblood, who sheds tears over the transformation.
