Cave spiders are a smaller and venomous variant of the spider. They always appear in groups during encounters with the characters.
Behavior
Cave spiders always appear in groups. They can climb walls and move horizontally along surfaces. Before attacking, they raise their abdomens and then jump at their target. After landing, they constantly bite until their target dies. If knocked onto their backs, they can flip themselves over.
History
In The Last Place You Look, Jesse and their friends fight numerous hostile monsters, including cave spiders, in Soren's mob grinder.
In Order Up!, the New Order of the Stone fights cave spiders in the jungle fortress.

Trivia
- Petra's line, "Why did it have to be cave spiders?", is a reference to Indiana Jones's famous quote: "Why does it have to be snakes?"
- While fighting the mobs in Soren's mob grinder, it is possible for Jesse to be attacked and poisoned by a cave spider.
- Unlike the base game, the cave spider's poison can kill, as opposed to taken down to half a heart.
