Double play

In the sport of baseball, a double play was where two baseball players would be put out.

In 2375, while preparing for field positions inside a wardroom, Benjamin Sisko asked Kira Nerys what she would do if there was "a runner on first, you got a runner on second, one away. Ground ball hit to the second baseman," she replied, "I go for the double play, unless the runner on third is already on his way home." (DS9: "Take Me Out to the Holosuite")
