Home plate

Home plate was a location on a baseball field designated by a flat object, which a runner had to touch in order to score a run. Batters stood there when hitting as well.

In 2024, after witnessing "Gabriel Bell" (actually Benjamin Sisko) tackle Vin, Biddle Coleridge remarked that he'd hate to be a catcher and see "Bell" coming towards home plate. (DS9: "Past Tense, Part II")

In 2366, at one point in a baseball game that Paul Stubbs was recalling, Bobby Thomson was at home plate. (TNG: "Evolution")
