Error (baseball)
In baseball, an error was a defensive misplay that allowed a batter or baserunner to advance on the bases.
In 2366, Paul Stubbs explained to Wesley Crusher how with a personal knowledge of baseball game statistics, including errors, he could replay games in his mind without the use of a holodeck. (TNG: "Evolution")
