Pokémon ex (TCG Pocket)
- This article is about the variant of Pokémon ex used in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. For the variant used in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, see Pokémon ex (TCG).

Pokémon ex (Japanese: ポケモンex Pokémon ex) are a type of Pokémon found in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket and were introduced in the Genetic Apex expansion.
Pokémon ex in Pokémon TCG Pocket are based on the Pokémon ex that appear in the Scarlet & Violet Series in the Pokémon Trading Card Game; compared to other Pokémon, they typically have more HP and stronger attacks. Additionally, Pokémon ex may have two attacks, whereas other Pokémon in the app only have one. Pokémon ex have the ex rule written in the bottom right corner of the card in place of a Pokédex entry, which states that the opponent takes two points instead of one when a Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, and feature a stylized
graphic in their card name.
Pokémon ex have the same Evolution stage they would have as a regular Pokémon; for example, Moltres ex is a Basic Pokémon, while Blastoise ex is a Stage 2 Pokémon that evolves from Wartortle. Because the names "Blastoise" and "Blastoise ex" are different, players can have up to two copies of each card in a deck, as per the app's deck-building rules.
Pokémon ex cards are all digital holofoils, with each card's border featuring a multicolored pattern. On Pokémon ex cards of ![]()

rarity, the Pokémon artwork extends beyond and above the illustration window; unlike Pokémon ex in the Trading Card Game, the rest of the artwork is not visible below the illustration window. With the exception of immersive cards, all Pokémon ex cards rarities feature additional visual effects layered above them, which can be seen by moving a card around after selecting it in the app.
Shiny super rare cards, which depicted Shiny Pokémon, were introduced in the Shining Revelry expansion and—like super rare cards—are exclusively Pokémon ex cards.
Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket, which are set to debut in an upcoming expansion and depict Mega Evolved Pokémon, are based on the Mega Evolution Pokémon ex that appear in the Mega Evolution Series in the Pokémon Trading Card Game;. They have a black-and-yellow
symbol next to their names. These Pokémon ex share the same Evolution Stage as their base form — for example, Mega Blaziken ex evolves from Combusken and is a Stage 2 Pokémon. While they feature stronger attacks and more HP than normal Pokémon ex of their Evolution Stage, they also feature the Mega Evolution ex rule, causing them to grant three points when they are Knocked Out, rather than the typical two for Pokémon ex.
