LenTalk is a communication tool used in the Lental region, as featured in New Pokémon Snap.

In New Pokémon Snap

In New Pokémon Snap, the LenTalk feature provides requests for the player to fulfill, usually involving taking a picture of a specific Pokémon exhibiting a certain behavior which will typically yield a high score from Professor Mirror.

LenTalk requests are unlocked after the player completes the Florio Island Illumina Spot for the first time. They are given out by Professor Mirror, Rita, Todd Snap, and Phil, and are often received in the following methods:

  • Visiting an area for the first time
  • Visiting an area on a new research level for the first time
  • Submitting a picture of a Pokémon that hasn't been added to your Photodex

If a request has a gift icon in the bottom right corner, it will grant the player a profile icon or stickers, frames, or filters that can be used in photo editing mode.

Once it reaches the other side, throwing Illumina orbs at it will cause a third Sawsbuck to join two others around a crystabloom. The fourth can be brought when the central cystabloom is illuminated. Once all four Sawsbuck have been brought together, playing a melody will cause them to howl. What a photo! I doubt anyone could ever re-create it! Flower 3

Egg Patrol In summer, you just might find Unfezant nests with Eggs in them. Would you mind bringing me a photo of that? Research level 1+ A female Unfezant can be found in the summer path, with the female lying on a nest of Eggs. Throwing fluffruit at the Pokémon causes them to get angry. When the female Unfezant gets angry, it will expose the Eggs it is lying on for a brief moment. Excellent! This photo should prove useful to my research. Thank you! None
Angry Drampa Drampa is seriously scary when it gets angry. You better watch out—I’m not kidding! Level 3 A Drampa can be found on the right side of the summer path. If an Illumina orb is thrown at this Drampa, a flying Drampa will spawn in the alternate ending route with a Bulbasaur and Pancham on its back. Once it lands, fluffruit can be thrown at it to cause it to become angered. Gaaah! Don’t make Drampa mad! I mean, obviously, I’m not scared of it or anything...but you still shouldn’t do that! None
A Pair of Chums When Drampa flew by, I could hear happy cries coming from its back! There must’ve been a Pokémon riding Drampa, but I couldn’t tell what it was. Level 3 A Drampa can be found on the right side of the summer path. If an Illumina orb is thrown at this Drampa, a flying Drampa will spawn in the alternate ending route with a Bulbasaur and Pancham on its back. Aha, so it was Pancham! Looks like it’s having a great time! None
Weird Crossing OK, listen! You’re not gonna believe what I saw. Bulbasaur was coasting across the surface of the water all like...whoosh! I’m not kidding!' Level 1+ A Bulbasaur can be seen towards the end of the main route near a pond. One the Bulbasaur has stopped walking, throwing an Illumina orb at a Lotad in the pond as well as the Bulbasaur will cause Bulbasaur to ride on the Lotad. See, see?! It’s coasting right—Oh, it was just riding on Lotad. Still, though! Whoosh! None
A Moment's Rest Serperior always seems so stuffy and serious. Do you think it ever takes a moment to relax? Level 3 Serperior at the end of the route appears hidden behind the ancient ruins. It can be lured out with an Illumina orb. After eating a fluffruit, playing a melody will cause it to go to sleep. Oh, whoa! You found it sleeping!I didn’t even think it was capable of relaxing this much! None
Heart of a Dragon Applin hides in its apple most of the time, but when push comes to shove, it’ll stick up for itself and act threatening. Have you ever seen that happen? Level 2+ An Deerling at the start of the autumn route can be brought closer to an Applin with fluffruit. When Deerling approaches the Applin, Applin will emerge from its apple and intimidate Deerling. Hey, you got a shot of it! Nice! You can tell from this photo that it’s a Dragon type through and through. None
Danger Warning When Bewear waves its arms around wildly, that’s a warning that it’s on guard. If you’re out taking photos and you see one start waving, watch out! Level 1+ A Bewear towards the end of the route when interrupted by multiple fluffruit will wave its arms. Wait, you photographed it after I warned you?! I understand your curiosity, but... Well, at least you were safe in the NEO-ONE. Eyebrow 1

Winter Wonders Gardevoir and some other Pokémon looked like they were having such a good time! What were they up to, I wonder... Level 3 A Gardevoir found on the left of the path in the winter section will perform a series of actions when Illumina orbs are regularly thrown at it. Its last action in its sequence is to create ice leaves on a bare tree. Oh my gosh! What beautiful snow crystals! They look just like flowers! Effect 11

(Sticker)

Flickering Flames I caught a glimpse of flames flickering amid all the snow. What could it be? Level 3 When Gardevoir in the winter path performs its third sequence (throwing ice in the air), instead of throwing more Illumina orbs to trigger its fourth sequence, waiting for Gardevoir disappear leaves two Deerling in range of Ninetales's field of view. Interrupting the Deerling with fluffruit angers the Ninetales which will cause it to jump down and begin swirling purple flames around it. So those were Ninetales’s flames! Thanks for looking into that for me. Foggy Forest

A Tad Happy Hey, you ever seen Lotad look really, really happy? ’Cause I have, and I’ve got the photo to prove it! Maybe I’ll show it to you sometime! Level 3 A Lotad on the right side of the path on the alternate end to the route can be moved to the river if a fluffruit is thrown at it. When this Lotad joins its two friends in the river, playing a melody causes the three Lotad to stack on top of each other. You got a photo of it, too?! W-well, yours is fine, but mine’s better! I’ll show it to you, uh... some other time! Phil (Smiling)

A Calming Air Rita and Phil told me they tried to feed Espeon fluffruit, but it wouldn’t bite. Why don’t you give it a try? Level 3 On the sunny spot alternate route, an Espeon can be brought down from its ledge by scanning. Throwing a fluffruit will then cause it to eat it. Ah, it ate that fluffruit right up! I bet that calming air of yours is what made Espeon feel so safe and secure. None
Myth of the Forest All those ruins scattered around the forest got me thinking... Maybe Celebi is waiting for its friends. Level 2+ Throwing Illumina orbs at Celebi can trigger a sequence of events as Celebi teleports throughout the route. Celebi also needs to be fed a fluffruit (at the spot next to where Applin can be found). Once an Illumina orb is thrown when Celebi is perched on top of the ancient ruins, three other Celebi will approach the lone Celebi. Playing a melody will cause all of them to react. So Celebi was waiting for its friends after all! Thanks for looking into that hunch of mine. None

Milotic's Mighty Leap Check this out! Awesome, huh? But I betcha Milotic can do an even cooler leap. C’mon, try to get a photo of it for me! Level 2+ The Milotic can enter the Illumina state if fluffruit and then Illumina orbs are thrown once it passes by a large root. Milotic will surface close to a Trevenant and Ninetales before heading back underwater. Throwing more fluffrruit and Illumina orbs will then cause Milotic to jump high in the air. Once Milotic creates a twister around itself, throwing another Illumina orb will cause it to create another twister. Yes! Thanks a bunch. This leap RULES! Overhead Friend I’m pretty sure when Tropius was flying, it was giving a smaller Pokémon a ride, too. I bet it must be one of its friends! Level 3 Bubbles of water appear at the surface of the water close to the start of the route. Throwing an Illumina orb at it will cause a Wooper to jump out and greet a Tropius. They can later be seen with Wooper flying on Tropius' head, close to where the Swampert and Quagsire are lying asleep. Wow, thanks for getting that! Tropius and Wooper look like they’re having so much fun! Ribbon 7

Psychic Sidekick Hey, you gotta hear this! I saw Magikarp floating in the air, but it definitely wasn’t using Splash! I wonder what that was all about. Level 1-2 Bubbles will appear on the surface of the water close to the Psyduck being chased by Aipom. If an Illumina orb is thrown at the bubbles, a Magikarp will jump out of the water and flail on the ground. Scanning will prompt the Psyduck to approach Magikarp and use Confusion on it. Huh, so Psyduck was helping it out by using Psychic? What a good friend. Hand Colored

Drilbur Propeller Drilbur dig underground at extremely high speeds. Maybe you can snap a shot of one the moment it jumps out from the wall. Level 3 Playing a melody as the NEO-ONE passes by a group of Drilbur high on a rocky ledge after the large waterfall will cause them to dig into the ground. They will reappear by digging out of a wall further down the river and fly across like a propellor. Hey, good one! It almost looks like it’s flying! Design 21

Cleffa's Training I can tell they’re practicing something, but I think they’re having a hard time. Let’s keep watching over them and cheer them on until they succeed! Level 3 Activating the first crystabloom on the alternate route will cause Cleffa the appear out of the grass (throwing several Illumina orbs will summon more a group of Cleffa). Cleffa will then start using Metronome, and they will summon a tornado. Yay! They did it! I wonder if it’s thanks to your support! Crown 3

Level 1+ If the Feraligatr on the rocky ledge at the first riverbend is hit with fluffruit, it will dive into the water later in the course. So it was Feraligatr! I see now why the NEO-ONE tried to dodge that! What a great shot! Black-and-White

Majestic Ursaring I got this shot of Ursaring hunting for Magikarp! I know I was just moments away from getting a great shot! Level 2 Magikarp can be seen swimming upstream in the rapids section of the river. So Magikarp got one over on Ursaring? Seriously?! Star 6

Lurking in the Water See that gash in that rocky cliff? I’m guessing an awfully large Pokémon must have had something to do with it! Could you look into it for me? Level 2 The Feraligatr at the start of the route must be triggered to dive into the river for Gyarados to appear. Just before the large waterfall, two sleeping Magikarp can be awoken with a melody and by scanning. Illuminating the crystabloom behind the waterfall will cause a Gyarados to appear and climb up the waterfall. Thanks! So Gyarados is so powerful that it changed the topography of the area? Wingull Loop-the-Loop Have you ever seen Wingull do a loop-the-loop while flying? I bet I can get a photo of it before you! Three in a Row Earlier, I saw some Exeggutor napping. They looked so cute! I was hoping you could see them, too! Level 2+ At the start of the route, two Exeggutor are located close to a third sleeping Exeggutor. Luring both with fluffruit to the sleeping Exeggutor causes the other two sit down and fall asleep alongside it. Oh wow! Three Exeggutor, all in a row! They really do get along well! None
Say Cheese! Bellossom seems to react to the scan function. That might help you take a good photo of it. Most Marvelous Muscles That Machamp is always facing the sea as it poses. I’d like to see it from the front sometime. Level 3 Illuminating the Machamp on the main route with an Illumina orb causes the Machmap to flex its muscles. Thanks! It really does have incredible muscles. None
Hiding in the Sand The way Octillery is eyeing the sand over there... Something’s about to happen—I just know it! Level 1+ A Stunfisk can be found in the alternate path near the underwater Octillery. Once the Stunfisk buried under the sand has been lured out with the scan function, hitting it with a fluffruit will cause it to discharge electricity (the fluffruit must first sink underwater to hit the Stunfisk). So even here in Lental, Crabrawler mistakes Exeggutor for a regular coconut tree. None
Sitting and Waiting Hey, it looks like that Zangoose is waiting for something. What do you suppose it is? Level 2+ A Primarina on the far right at the start of the route can be illuminated with Illumina orbs. Primarina will then reappear on the alternate route. It’s always great when we can take a photo that shows Pokémon at their best! Todd's Bag

The Flying Cacnea I saw a Cacnea flying the other day! But Phil doesn’t believe me at all... I want to get a photo, but I haven’t had any luck so far... Level 2+ A Cacnea can be caught up in a sand twister towards the start of the route. Yes, this is just what I needed! Phil will HAVE to believe me now! Blush 2

Where Did the Fluffruit Go? I gave a fluffruit to the Pokémon inside the tornado, but it just flew off with it! I wonder why. Level 2+ When the three crystabloom around a sand twister are illuminated, the twister will disappear and a Flygon will appear. If fluffruit are thrown on the ground, it will pick one up. Flygon will then fly away and will reappear at the end of the main route. It will fly down into a sand pit where it will feed the two Trapinch inside. Awww! It was giving the fluffruit to Trapinch! Flygon is such a kind Pokémon. Thanks for showing me! None
Munching Mandibuzz Mandibuzz is always scavenging for food, but I wonder where it actually eats. Level 3 A Mandibuzz will be walking along the ground close to the large rock structure on the alternate path. If fluffruit are thrown around this Maniduzz early enough, it will walk towards the fluffruit and eat it. Oh, this is where Mandibuzz eats. Thanks for looking into that! Professor Mirror's Shoe

A Finicky Flame I tossed a fluffruit to Torchic, but it spewed out tons of flames and burned it to a crisp! I was so startled, I forgot to get a photo... Level 1+ When a fluffruit is thrown close to the Torchic while the Torchic has been illuminated with Illumina orbs, it will burn the fluffruit away with a strong fire. That flame is something else! Still, Torchic’s probably sad that it couldn’t eat the fluffruit. Come on, let’s give it another! None
Sprinting in Surprise Oh, thank you for believing me! And you even got a picture! I bet this’ll even give Phil a shock! Level 1+ A fluffruit can be thrown to the water left of the sleeping Heliolisk at the oasis. This will cause a Magikarp to jump out of the water and startle the Heliolisk awake. It will then run towards the right on top of the water. Hey, would you believe me if I told you I saw a Heliolisk running on water? None
Lycanroc's Reply It seems like Lycanroc will react to the sound of your scan. I hope you can use that to help with your research! Level 2+ Scanning early prevents the Lycanroc on the alternate route from jumping down and interacting with the Tyranitar. Instead, it will run along the rock ledge and move towards a crystabloom. Scanning the Lycanroc again causes it the run down to the end of the rocky edge and howl. Oh, I see you put my little tip to good use already! Thank you! None
Oasis Buddies I saw Torchic standing on Hippowdon’s head! It was so cute—you should’ve seen it! Level 2+ If the Torchic close to the oasis and a nearby Hippowdon are both illuminated with Illumina orbs, Torchic will jump on Hippowdon's back. Oh, you were able to see them together! Don’t they just look like the best of friends? Character: Rita

Totally Cool Tyranitar Lycanroc made a run for it right before I snapped this shot. I bet Tyranitar could bash right through that rock! Level 2+ After Lycanroc fights with Tyranitar on the alternate path, Tyranitar will turn its back and move towards a rock face. Throwing Illumina orbs causes Tyranitar to break down the wall. Whoa, awesome! Tyranitar is the coolest! But how’d you get that shot? I wanna take one like that! Phil: Monitor

Onix's Mighty Leap Check this out! Awesome, huh? But I betcha Milotic can do an even cooler leap. C’mon, try to get a photo of it for me! Level 2+ Three Mandibuzz perched on rocks at the end of the alternate route can be disrupted with fluffruit. They will fly away, and once grouped up, will fly as a pack across the sky. An Onix around that time will take a big leap out of the sand. Yes! Thanks a bunch. This leap RULES! I gotta get a shot of it with my own camera someday. None

Roll and Stop Hey, have you ever seen a Sandshrew come to a stop while it’s rolling? It looks really cool! Level 1+ Interrupting a rolling Sandshrew with a fluffruit will cause it to break out of its ball and stop. Well? Awesome, right? And you even got a photo of it, too! That must’ve been tricky to capture! Desert

(Profile Icon)

Hide-and-Seek in the Desert I suspect a Trapinch is hiding somewhere in this area. Do you think you can find it? Level 1+ A Trapinch can be found partially buried by the lake on the alternate route. Ah, wonderful! You found it! It seems like this Trapinch was hiding from Lycanroc. Star 1

Kangaskhan's Parenting Kangaskhan only feed their young if they feel the area is safe. You don’t see it often, so keep your eyes peeled. Level 2 A meteor will land close to a Skorupi towards the start of the route. Scanning will reveal a Minior under the sand which can be brought out of the sand using an Illumina orb. The Minior will make its way to the Kangaskhan at the oasis, and the mother Kangaskhan will take out her baby to play with the Minior. After Kangaskhan plays with the Minior, playing a melody and feeding it a fluffruit will cause the mother Kangaskhan to feed its baby the fluffruit. Hey, you were able to get a shot! Kangaskhan are very cautious by nature, so color me impressed. Good work! None
Revenge of Silicobra I saw a Lycanroc going after a Silicobra, but then the Lycanroc ran off all of a sudden! I wonder what happened... Level 2 The sleeping Silicobra to the right of the path at the start of the route can be awoken by throwing a fluffruit. It will then dig into the sand and appear at various locations throughout the route, indicated by its tongue sticking out of the sand. Throwing fluffruit will cause it to jump out of the sand the dive back in. It will appear to the left of the path on two occasions (the second on the alternate route). On the second time, it will jump out before a Lycanroc comes and intimidates it. What?! Silicobra defeated Lycanroc? I didn’t realize it was that strong! None
Rainbow Meteor Shower We know that Minior cores come in seven different colors. I bet it’d be amazing if we could snap a photo of all seven at once. Level 1+ Seven Minior are hidden beneath the sand at the start of the course. They can be brought out by throwing Illumina orbs. The seven different colored Minior will fly across the sky over the oasis. This is only available post-game. Wow! That’s quite the photo! Minior really are awe-inspiring... The Singing Dragon I heard happy humming sounds around this area. What Pokémon do you think is making them? Level 2 (only) As the NEO-ONE heads down the narrow path after the first open area, a humming sound can be heard. Playing a melody when the singing occurs will cause Altaria to fly overhead. Oh, it was Altaria! Thanks for finding out for me! Effect 10

Little Lost Shinx Poor little Shinx got startled and hid. I’d really like to lead it back to Luxray somehow. Level 3 A Shinx can be reunited with a Luxray at the start of the route with a trail of fluffruit. It will then celebrate once reunited. Shinx and Luxray are reunited! And it’s all thanks to you. You’re the best! None
Luxray Vision When Luxray is looking for something, it uses its special ability to see through objects. You can tell it’s happening when Luxray’s eyes light up. Level 3 A Luxray in the first cave of the main route is perched atop a rock. Throwing an Illumina orb at it causes its eyes to gleam. That’s it! Was it looking for the lost Shinx when you took this photo? What a nice Pokémon. None
A Skilled Hunter Talonflame looks so cool when it snatches up a fluffruit! But I just can’t get the timing right when I try to take a photo of that exact moment. Level 2 (only) Fluffruit can be thrown onto the rocky lava in the open area before entering the volcano. A Talonflame will swoop down with a burst of embers. Gah, you got it?! Oh wow, and it’s such a clear shot, too! How’d you do it?! Mouth 4

A Goofy Pose Tyrantrum got really mad when Monferno stuck its rear out at it, but I thought it was all in good fun! I’d like to get a closer shot of it, actually. Level 1 (only) A Monferno can be found in the very last chamber of the route. Throwing an Illumina orb at it will cause it to perform a number of poses, one of which will involve it sticking its bottom out. Ah, great—thank you! It really is pretty silly, isn’t it? None
Rest Your Wings Aerodactyl can’t walk very well, so it won’t land at all if it’s feeling cautious. It probably only eats fluffruit when it’s on the ground, though. Level 2+ Once the Typhlosion in the last chamber of the alternate route run away, fluffruit can be thrown onto the ground. Aerodactyl will swoop down and eat the fluffruit. Hey, look at that! You caught quite the rare moment on camera! Good job! Sparkles 4

A Quaking Volcano I heard a really loud noise near Tyrantrum, then all this rubble started falling down around me! What happened back there?! Level 3 Throwing Illumina orbs at two Monferno in the first cave on the main route causes them to approach a sleeping Tyrantrum and wake it up. Tyrantrum will roar at them in anger and run towards a wall. Whoa! So Tyrantrum got mad and smashed into the wall, and that sent the whole volcano rumbling?! Wowww! Effect 15

When Graveler Shows Its Hand Graveler has four arms, but I haven’t seen it use the inner set much at all. When do you suppose it uses those arms? Level 1+ When a Graveler is fed a fluffruit, it may occasionally use its inner hands rather than its outer hands. This appears to occur the most readily with the Graveler that appears in the middle of the final lava chamber on the main route (this Graveler only appears after it is dropped with a fluffruit at an earlier point in the route). I see! So it uses those arms to eat! Effect 13

(Sticker)

Archeops at Ease Archeops is a very cautious Pokémon, but I think it might eat a fluffruit if it feels safe and secure. Level 2 (only) Archeops in the open area before entering the volcano can be fed fluffruit. Oh good, it did eat it! Thanks for checking for me! None
Climbing the Lavafall Rita claims she saw a Slugma going up a lavafall. She’s gotta be making that up, right? Level 1, 3 A Slugma hanging upside down in the final chamber of the main route can be knocked off into the lava below with a fluffruit. If it is then illuminated with an orb, it will climb up a lavafall. Whoa, it really is going up the lava! I better apologize to Rita! None
So Excited! I was taking photos of a Torkoal when it suddenly stood up on its hind legs! I was so surprised, I forgot to get a picture of it! Level 3 A sleeping Torkoal in the final chamber of the main route can be awoken by a nearby Monferno when an Illumina orb is thrown at it. It will then raise its front legs in response to being woken up. Yeah, that’s exactly what it looked like! Torkoal’s usually so relaxed, I never expected to see it get up like this. Rita (Surprised)

Volcanic Hide-and-Seek There are Charmander all over the place in the volcano. Do you think something might happen if you find a bunch of them? Level 3 The first crystabloom present up on a rock in the final room of the main route can be illuminated. Fluffruit can then be thrown to an area where three Charmander are present, which will attract further Charmander. The Charmander will group into a circle, and if a melody is played, a Charizard will fly into this group of Charmander. As Charizard lands, the Charmander will celebrate. I didn’t realize there were this many Charmander! They look like they’re all having so much fun together! None
Red-Hot Energy The Illumina energy in this area is particularly strong. I suspect that even the slightest impact could cause an unusual reaction. Level 2+ Two Charmander can be found in the blue lava room of the alternate route. Once Illumina orbs are thrown at it, a Graveler higher up can be dropped when disrupted with fluffruit. Graveler will fall through the ground, causing the lava to glow, and Charizard will burst up through the rocky lava. My suspicion was confirmed! I can tell from that photo just how intense that heat is! Monitor: Professor Mirror

Typhlosion Explosion This appears to be Typhlosion’s territory. Do you think it’ll get mad if a strong-looking Pokémon gets too close? Level 3 When the Typhlosion at the start of the route is interrupted with a fluffruit, it will reappear above and behind the NEO-ONE in the open area before entering the volcano. Throwing an Illumina orb at it causes it to spout fire. Wow, that’s impressive! I feel bowled over just looking at this photo! None
3,000-Degree Flames Flareon’s flames can reach temperatures in the thousands. The NEO-ONE is fireproof, though, so go ahead and get some good shots of it! Level 3 Flareon in the blue lava room can be fed fluffruit. It may occasionally burn the fruit before eating. Wow, those are some really impressive flames! You did a great job photographing it! None
A Slice of Rainbow Apparently there’s a Legendary Pokémon around the volcano. Keep an eye on the sky, and maybe you’ll see something! Level 3 Taking a photo of Ho-Oh flying anywhere on the route completes this request. It’s not every day someone gets a photo of Ho-Oh! But then again, you’re not just any photographer. Let's Play! Diglett doesn’t seem interested in eating my fluffruit. Maybe it’s not hungry... But we can toss a few more to it, just in case! Level 3 Throwing fluffruit at the underground Diglett at the start of the route will cause two of them to move ahead on the route. They will stop and stay above ground a short distance ahead (with a Rockruff watching), and if a fluffruit is thrown at them, they will bounce the fluffruit across each other. Oh wow! Look at how much fun they’re having! I guess they were more in the mood to play. Design 22

A Brave Leap I thought this might be dangerous at first, but then I realized that Tepig can probably make the jump! You should cheer it on, too! Level 2+ On the alternate path, Tepig can be seen attempting to jump off a cliff. Scanning will cause Tepig to jump onto the lower ledge. It will then run towards another gap that it will attempt to jump. Throwing an Illumina orb at it will cause it to jump to the other side. Yay, it jumped! The professor sure wasn’t kidding when he said Tepig has an impressive jump! Thanks for getting that! Accessory 13

An Alluring Pose Phil reported in his research that Salazzle strike a unique pose after they finish dancing. Mind looking into that? Level 3 Playing a melody close to the first crystabloom will cause the Salazzle to come out. Throwing an Illumina orb while the melody is playing will cause it to pose. Yup, that’s the pose I was talking about! I wonder if it’s trying to lure something closer to it! None
Gigantic Koffing Guess what! I saw a Koffing that was, like, ridiculously huge! I could’ve gotten a shot of it if I hadn’t freaked out and dropped my camera! Level 3 Illuminating the Koffing near the crystabloom at the swamp may sometimes cause it to inflate a significant amount. The chances of this occurring are increased if the Koffing to the right of the path (before the swamp) is illuminated, causing it to move towards the swamp. Yeah, that’s the one! It’s even bigger than when I saw it! Wait... What if it explodes?! Glasses 7

Open Wide! I heard a really loud noise, then saw Koffing blasting away! I wonder what happened! Level 3 Throwing a fluffruit on top of a small mountain to the right of the path in the swamp will cause a Koffing to descend. It will then be swallowed up by a Swalot. What?! Swalot was trying to eat it?! Oh, I get it. The Koffing I saw before had probably just been spat out! None

Guardian of Friends Rockruff may be small, but they’re very brave. They protect their friends in times of need. Mandibuzz will fly in and intimidate the four Pokémon. Throwing an Illumina orb at Rockruff will cause it to roar. Oh, that’s some great timing! Looks like it was a sticky situation, but you got a great shot of Rockruff being brave! Flower 5

Crust-side Down That boulder Crustle carries on its back is solid and has quite a bit of weight. I imagine it’d be tough for it to right itself if it’s ever flipped on its back. Level 2 Tyranitar at the start of the route can be awoken by throwing a fluffruit at it. If it has been awoken early enough that it has yet to se the NEO-ONE, Tyranitar will instead attack a nearby Crustle with its tail. Crustle will be flipped upside down after this attack. Wow, look at that! It must be super strong to get back on its feet like that! Glasses 6

Gassy Swamp Battle Heh, I saw something awesome! Even though its opponent was midair, that Scolipede launched an amazing attack! Level 2 The first Sandshrew to the left of the path can be illuminated to cause it to roll down the hill. If the Diglett to the left of the path is also illuminated, the Sandshrew's roll will be halted by the Diglett who has popped up out of the ground. The Sandshrew will then appear with the second Sandshrew in the area past the geysers. Illuminating the Diglett on the right here will cause it to pop out. Throwing a fluffruit at it will cause it to bury again underneath, and reappear just before the swamp. The Sandshrew will roll down the hill, and continue rolling to the swamp and towards a sleeping Scolipede (due to its course being altered by the Diglett). Meanwhile, if the first Gliscor on the rock arches is interrupted with a fluffruit, it will fly towards the craters, before moving backwards due to the falling Minior meteorites. It will encounter the awoken Scolipede and then begin to fight. That’s it! How cool is that? I’m gonna be the one to snap it next time, so...gotta go! I’m heading back out to the Barren Badlands! Effect 8

Sleepy Gliscor I saw a Gliscor yawning! I never see ’em during the day, so I thought that’s probably when they sleep... But if that’s the case, why’d it look so sleepy? Level 2 If the alternate path is taken, a Gliscor will appear below the NEO-ONE as it is ascending the geyser. Interrupting the Gliscor with a fluffruit will cause it to fly towards the left. Illuminating the Sandstorm Pattern Vivillon will cause it to bump into the Savanna Pattern Vivillon. This Vivillon will then spray Gliscor with a sleep-inducing powder move, causing Gliscor to yawn Wait, so it was just Vivillon making it sleepy? I guess it wasn’t sleeping in after all. None
Illusion of the Badlands I hear that Zeraora sometimes changes something about its appearance. Could you get a picture of that for me? Level 2 Zeraora must be awoken at the start of the route. If Tyranitar is then woken up with a fluffruit (before it sees the NEO-ONE pass by), it will get angered and throw up sand around itself. Zeraora will stop the sandstorm by jumping down with a bolt of lightning, and begin to fight Tyranitar by charging electricity around itself. Thanks! Valley of Vivillon We found some Vivillon scales here from a Vivillon form I didn’t expect to see in this climate. Can you check it out? If the alternate path is taken, the Vivillon can be seen flying around to the right. Illuminating the crystabloom on the alternate path will cause them to gather. I’m glad they found each other! None
Duel on the Snowfields I saw a totally awesome battle near the ice floes. I bet you would’ve been excited to see it, too! Level 3 The Weavile at the start of the route can be brought close to a tree with scratch marks on it by using a trail of fluffruit. If Illumina orbs are thrown at both the Weavile and the tree, Weavile will have a close look at the scratch marks. Just as I thought! The Weavile in Lental also carve marks on trees to communicate with each other. None

Level 3 A crystabloom can be activated at the end of the main route, causing a geyser to form. A Swinub can be brought towards the geyser with a trail of fluffruit, and will jump onto the geyser. If Illumina orbs are thrown at the Weavile and the tree, Weavile will run ahead to try to find the second Weavile. Once they have grouped together, they will duel against two Mamoswine on the field. If the Mamoswine are illuminated, they will counterattack. See? Wasn’t that super exciting? I’ll definitely get a photo of it next time. Just you wait! None
Skarmory's Flying Show Skarmory looks so cool when it’s flying, huh? Let’s see who can take the better photo of it! None
Icy Armor Glalie sometimes encases itself in icy armor. If you ever see it like that, try to snap a photo! Level 3 The Glalie on the main route can be interrupted with a fluffruit. Icy Playground You know how the Spheal in this area will... You know what? I’m not gonna tell you! Just lemme know if you get a photo! They will fly away and will subsequently appear at the end of the course. Throwing an Illumina orb at the Frosmoth will cause them to use Powder Snow. Have you ever seen Frosmoth’s scales? They’re really beautiful, just like snow. None
Beyond the Wall of Snow Something went into that wall of snow during the blizzard! I think it was a Pokémon... Level 2 If the Crabominable is illuminated after the first split in the path, if will punch a tree onto a sleeping Abomasnow and Froslass will emerge. Oh, it was Froslass! I didn’t think anything could go through there, so I was really surprised! None
With Their Powers Combined Jynx seems to be wishing for something, but it also seems to be having trouble all on its own. Maybe if it had a bit more power, it could do something... Level 2 Two Jynx will be present in the ice cave on the alternate route. The first can be awoken by throwing a fluffruit at it. It can then be brought closer to a nearby cyrstabloom with a trail of fluffruit. The crystabloom can be illuminated, and the two Jynx will use their psychic powers. Thank you! I’m sure Jynx could accomplish a lot if they all worked together! None
A Sheer Face Have you ever seen the wilder side of Avalugg? Try observing it carefully. Level 2 If fluffruit are thrown at the Avalugg which emerges out of the water at the end of the alternate route, it will change its direction of walking and walk towards the NEO-ONE. If the fluffruit is thrown onto its back, it will let out a roar once it reaches the group of Delibird, Piplup, and Snom. Aha! You did see it! Avalugg is usually so level-headed, it’s a bit surprising to see it like this. None
Shades of Aurorus Aurorus’s fins change color depending on its mood. Try observing it closely to see what causes them to change. An Aurorus will then jump out of the walls of ice encasing it. It will glow briefly. Alternatively, feeding this Aurorus two fluffruit will cause it to glow again. Oh, I see you got a photo! Its fins can change to other colors, too, so keep an eye on it! Effect 6

Wish Upon a Shining Sky I heard that a special Pokémon appears when the sky is shining! What do you think it could be? Level 2 At the end of the alternate route, a Jynx will be present riding an Avalugg. Hitting Jynx with an Illumina orb will summon Suicune. Suicune will only appear in the post-game. Thanks for taking this photo for me! Suicune is such a beautiful Pokémon! Aurora

Crobat Touches Down I wonder if Crobat would come down to the ground to eat fluffruit. It’s a bit of a clumsy walker, so I doubt it’d land without a good reason... Level 1, 3 Throwing a fluffruit at a Crobat at the end of the main route will cause it to land onto a flat rocky surface. Feeding it a fluffruit will yield a ★★★★ photo. Wow! I see you got it to come down to the ground after all. This is a rare sight! None
Joltik Adjoined Joltik has a pretty unusual way of feeding itself. If you see one near another Pokémon, make sure you watch closely. Level 3 The split ending to the alternate route can be taken post-game. A Joltik in the forest can be lured towards the Jolteon to the left of the path by using a trail of fluffruit. Joltik will then jump on Jolteon's back. That’s it! Joltik feeds on other Pokémon’s static electricity. Nice job getting a shot of it in action. None
Take a Good, Hard Look This Geodude sometimes shifts positions, but I’ve never actually observed it moving. Level 2+ A Geodude can be found clinging onto the rocky wall in the large second cavern. Throwing a fluffruit at it will cause it to start climbing the rocky wall. I’m sure it wasn’t easy to get this picture. It must have taken real effort! Thank you for your diligent research. None
Gem Royalty Sometimes a pack of Carbink will have a princess leading them. I bet you could get a shot of some very happy Carbink if the princess were around! Level 3 Diancie will appear in the forest at the end of the alternate route if Illumina orbs are thrown at the four Carbink in this room, followed by a melody. Once Diancie appears, hitting it with an Illumina orb will prompt it to create a gem. Once formed, the crystal will disappear, and the Carbink will react and dance to this. Great work! No doubt about it—those are some happy Carbink! None
Gengar the Prankster Gengar keeps popping out of nowhere and playing its tricks! I’m a little worried about that sleeping Croagunk... Level 2+ A Gengar will appear out of a portal close to a sleeping Croagunk as the NEO-ONE descends through the second cavern. It will scare the Croagunk if the Croagunk is illuminated with an orb. I knew it! Gengar was up to its tricks here, too. Poor Croagunk... It doesn’t deserve to be picked on like this! None
Noibat's Refined Palate Noibat’s got a taste for fine food. See if you can spot the way it shows its gourmet side before every meal! Level 2+ Several Noibat can be found at the end of the alternate route. If fluffruit are thrown at them, they will inspect each fruit using sonar. If it is to their taste, it will eat the fruit. That’s right! You can see it using its ultrasonic waves to make sure that fruit is ripe. Glasses 4

The Biggest Pumpkaboo of All Pumpkaboo come in four sizes. I wonder if the largest of them all is here... Level 3 Each of the four Pumpkaboo along the route can be illuminated: one at the start on the left alongside two Carbink, on the far right side of the first cavern, on an upper ledge on the left side before the NEO-ONE descends into the second cavern, and on the left of the start of the alternate route. A Super Size Pumpkaboo will then appear at the end of the alternate route. Oho! You caught it on camera! Now that’s what I call a supersized Pumpkaboo! None
Croagunk Chorus These Croagunk’s cries each seem to be a specific note. I have a hunch something will happen if they sing in the right order! Level 3 The three Croagunk along the ledges of the second cavern can be interrupted with fluffruit. If they are interrupted in the order: middle, top, and bottom, they will laugh and expand their cheek sacs. This will cause them to float in the air. My hunch was right! They seem to be pleased to have croaked out a do-re-mi. Professor Mirror (Smiling)

Drifloon Puffed Up I saw a Drifloon...I think? There was something weird about it. Like, am I imagining things, or is its head way bigger than usual? Level 3 The crystabloom at the final part of the main route can be illuminated. A nearby Drifloon will puff up its face with air. So it WAS a Drifloon! It was just puffed way up! What’s it full of, anyway? Todd's Wristband

(Profile Icon)

Clefairy by Moonlight At a moonlit spot like this, there’s a good chance you’ll get to see Clefairy floating about. Level 3 If the crystabloom close to the three Clefairy in the second cavern is illuminated, the Clefairy will dance. If another Illumina orb is thrown at the crystabloom, the Clefairy will levitate, while dancing. Hey, you saw them! And you got a nice photo out of it, too! None
Sound Asleep I found a sleeping Sableye! I bet you’d just love to know where it is, huh? Ha! Too bad! Level 2+ A Sableye can be found sleeping in the alternate route's crystal room. Aw, you found it? I bet you already knew where it was before I even told you... Glasses 5

Anger Outlet Rampardos has this one habit—you could call it a specialty, I guess. It’s something you can probably imagine it doing when it’s mad. Level 1, 3 A trail of fluffruit can bring the Rampardos at the end of the main route towards the Gengar portal. It will then charge at the portal. Now that’s a mighty headbutt! Hope it doesn’t cause a cave-in... Speech Bubble 6

Hydreigon Berserk! I wanna get a close-up shot of Hydreigon! Think it’d come to me if I gave it a fluffruit? Hmmm, I wonder if it even eats ’em. Level 3 Playing a melody at the end of the main route will cause the Hydreigon to fly towards the lake. Throwing fluffruit into the water will cause if to grab and eat the fruit. Whoa! Yup, it definitely eats fluffruit! Time for me to get my own shot of it! None
Having a Goodra Time This Goodra seems kind of restless. Do you get the feeling it’s waiting for something to happen? Level 3 A crystabloom can be found hidden to the left of the path in the rocky tunnel along the main route after the waterfall large chamber. Illuminating the crystabloom will cause the cave to light up, and Goodra will celebrate. Oh, it was waiting for the Illumina phenomenon to happen! Awww...Goodra’s just the cutest! Rita (Heart-Eyes)

Look My Way I can’t get Mawile to eat a fluffruit! It gets mad so easily... Level 3 Several Mawile and Carbink appear in the crystal room of the alternate path. Illuminating the Carbink and the nearby Mawile causes a Diancie to appear. Throwing an Illumina orb at Dianice causes it to gleam. The other Mawile blocking the entrance to the split ending can then be fed a fluffruit. This will only occur in the post-game. Oh wow, it’s not mad! And it’s even eating that fluffruit. I’m jealous that you got to see this! Rita's Bag

Fur Standing On End So I can tell Jolteon’s mad in this photo I took, but I dunno why... Maybe it saw something else in there. The air was, like, crackling with tension! Level 3 Jolteon at the split ending of the alternate route can be lured out with a trail of fluffruit. As it approaches a Pumpkaboo towards the right of the path, throwing an Illumina orb at Jolteon causes it to discharge electricity. Wait, huh? Its fur was standing up ’cause of a magnetic...field? Is that, like, a field that magnets grow in? Weird, but cool! None
Myth of the Cave I think I caught a flash of pink light near all those big crystals. But maybe I just imagined it? Level 3 Diancie appears in the crystal room on the alternate route if the two Carbink and Mawile are illuminated in this room. Throwing an Illumina orb at it will cause it to emit a bright light. It will then cheer with its arms raised up. It was Diancie?! Oh my gosh, it’s so gorgeous! Accessory 10

Houndoom's Breather Houndoom always seems to be on guard, keeping an eye on its surroundings. I wonder if it ever gets tired. Level 2+ One of the Houndoom outside the ruins may stretch and then yawn. Oh, I see! I suppose it stretches like this every now and then to release tension. None
Blowing Seeds Have you ever seen Eldegoss heal other Pokémon? Just watch them closely. Level 3 A Natu will appear if a fluffruit is thrown at the ancient ruins outside. Once it eats a fluffruit, it will hop away from the ruins. As it passes by an Eldegoss, the Eldegoss will let out its seeds from its head. Ah, there you go! You see, Eldegoss’s seeds are full of nutrients. None
Just Perching Here I threw a fluffruit earlier, and a Natu came down and perched on it! It was so adorable! Level 1 (only) After the Natu is made to appear outside the ancient ruins, it will stand on a fluffruit rather than eating it. Yeah, that’s exactly what I saw! I got caught up in the cuteness of the moment, but next time I’ll get a photo, too! Rita's Hairpin

A White Pokémon Rita told me she saw a white, four-legged Pokémon around here. Let’s get a photo of it eating fluffruit and check with her! Level 3 Any of the two Absol can be fed a fluffruit when it appears. The Absol outside the ruins will only jump down to eat the fluffruit if a melody is played. I didn’t know Absol lived here! That must be the Pokémon Rita saw, right? None
Salandit's Battle Plan This is the aftermath of a battle! It was so exciting, I forgot to take pictures, but if you ever see the rematch, you’re in for a treat! Level 3 A set of scratch marks can be observed near the Salandit inside the ruins. Throwing fluffruit at this area will cause a Salandit and Noivern to emerge. Salandit will attack with a Poison-type move. So you were able to get in on the action! Noivern was cool, too, but Salandit’s counterattack was something else! Effect 8

Gracefully Gliding I almost had the perfect shot, you know? It was just too quick for me... Level 1+ A set of scratch marks can be observed on the ground inside the ruins close to the third statue. A Break between Patrols Sigilyph is always patrolling the ruins, but it takes breaks now and then, too. Try to keep your eyes on it! Level 3 A Sigilyph can be found sleeping behind the NEO-ONE as it descends into the final chamber. Great work snapping that shot! It’s important to get shots of unusual behavior like this, too. Todd (Smiling)

Drowsing Beheeyem I could’ve sworn I saw Beheeyem sleeping while it was floating in the air. I’m not sure, though... Could you check for me? I guess it needs a break now and then! Star 5

Two Golurk Ugh, I missed a great photo opportunity! You wanna know what I was trying to photograph? Well...this photo’s a hint! Level 1+ The first two Beheeyem inside the ruins can be interrupted with a fluffruit. This will cause several Golurk to fly into the chamber. Yeeeah! This is it! Pretty cool, right? Can I look at this photo just a bit more? Please? Character: Phil

Groovy Chandelure I heard Chandelure sometimes breaks out into a happy dance! I wonder what that looks like. Level 3 The Chandelure hidden on the left hand side of the large chamber must be illuminated before it reappears at the end. Feeding it a fluffruit, illuminating it with an Illumina orb, and then playing a melody causes it to stretch out its left arm. Wow! Look at Chandelure go! Thanks for checking that out for me! None
Fading into the Shadows I have a hunch that a Pokémon is hiding in this area, but...maybe it’s just my imagination? Level 3 An Umbreon can be brought out of its hiding place in the first room of the ruins by throwing fluffruit to the left of the path. Oh, it was an Umbreon! Thanks for looking into that! None

Once Jirachi is awoken, it will reappear at the end of the course if all crystablooms inside the ruins interior have been illuminated. The Power of Xerneas The Illumina energy in this area seems particularly strong. We may be able to observe Xerneas behaving in new ways here. The two nearby Houndoom can be awoken by throwing fluffruit at them. They will then walk towards the center, and if the scan function is used, they will register Xerneas.
