Location of Shiver Snowfields in Lental.
Pokémon world locations

The Shiver Snowfields (Japanese: ヒエール雪原 Hiēru Snowfields) are a location on Durice Island of the Lental region.

Layout

The course starts inside a snowy forest with Beartic and Furret. After passing through the forest and some cliffs, the NEO-ONE reaches a massive field of snow with Swinub and Mamoswine. A Vivillon or Frosmoth can be located in an ice crack hidden in the area. After leaving this area, the NEO-ONE slides down some snow into an icy cave with Snorunt. After leaving the cave, the player can reach an area with several small ponds. Spheal and Alolan Vulpix can be found playing around the area. The course ends near an arch made out of ice. The course is mostly unchanged during the night, though some of the Pokémon are different.

Alternate routes

  • On research level 2 or 3 on the day course, the player must take a picture of an Alolan Sandslash at the left side of the course. The Sandslash later reappears on the cliffs around a Beartic and Cubchoo. After taking another photo of it, the Sandslash will dig through a wall of snow, allowing the player to enter the first alternate route. This opens to a smaller forest, inhabited by an Abomasnow and Crabominable.
  • The second alternate route can be accessed through the night route once the first alternate route has been unlocked on the day route. The player must enter the aforementioned alternate route, and a Crabominable can be observed to walk across to a tree on the left. Throwing an Illumina orb at the Crabominable will cause it to punch the tree, which wakes up and angers a nearby Abomasnow. A Froslass will then appear and after taking a photo of it, the player can access the second alternate route. The second alternate route will automatically be unlocked on the day course once this has been completed. This path leads to an icy cave with Vanilluxe and ancient ruins. After that, the cave leads to a sea with icebergs, Avalugg and many Pokémon that were previously seen in the course. The course ends in an area near Aurorus.

★★★★ Research level 2: If Glaceon is made to appear at the end of the main route, Glaceon will jump down and create diamond dust around Vulpix after an Illumina orb is thrown at it.
182 Suicune 2 At the end of the alternate route, a Jynx can be found riding an Avalugg to the right of the path. Hitting Jynx with an Illumina orb will summon Suicune. Suicune only appears in the post-game.
★★★★ Research level 2: Throwing an Illumina orb at Suicune when it runs across the water causes it to stop at the ice floe in front of the NEO-ONE. When Suicune approaches the Delibird, Piplup, and Snom, throwing another Illumina orb at it will cause it to throw a snowstorm around it.

Level 2 Delibird can be found in the cave on the main route in a small crevice on the right of the path. Throwing a fluffruit at the opening will cause it to come out. Delibird will pick up two fluffruit when these are thrown at it and put it in its bag. Playing a melody will cause Delibird to offer a fluffruit to the player. It gave you a present?! Wow! You’ve gotta tell me how you got it to like you so much! None

With Their Powers Combined Jynx seems to be wishing for something, but it also seems to be having trouble all on its own. Maybe if it had a bit more power, it could do something... Level 2 Two Jynx will be present in the ice cave on the alternate route. The first can be awoken by throwing a fluffruit at it. It can then be brought closer to a nearby cyrstabloom with a trail of fluffruit. The crystabloom can be illuminated, and the two Jynx will use their psychic powers. Thank you! I’m sure Jynx could accomplish a lot if they all worked together! None
A Sheer Face Have you ever seen the wilder side of Avalugg? Try observing it carefully. Level 2 If fluffruit are thrown at the Avalugg which emerges out of the water at the end of the alternate route, it will change its direction of walking and walk towards the NEO-ONE. If the fluffruit is thrown onto its back, it will let out a roar once it reaches the group of Delibird, Piplup, and Snom. Aha! You did see it! Avalugg is usually so level-headed, it’s a bit surprising to see it like this. None
