Powder Snow (Japanese: こなゆき Powder Snow) is a damage-dealing Ice-type move introduced in Generation II.

Effect

Powder Snow inflicts damage and has a 10% chance of freezing the target.

Powder Snow hits both opponents in a Double Battle. In a Triple Battle, Powder Snow will only hit opposing adjacent Pokémon.

Powder Snow can be used as the first move of a Pokémon Contest combination, causing Blizzard to score double the normal appeal if used in the next turn. It can also be used to finish a combination, with the user gaining 4 bonus appeal points if Hail was used in the previous turn. It is also part of a Contest Spectacular combination, giving an extra three appeal points if the move Hail was used in the prior turn.
