Trivia
- This is the first regional Pokédex to include the Spinarak line without the Ledyba line.
- This is the first mainline regional Pokédex to not include the Psyduck or Magnemite lines in at least one version.
- This is the only regional Pokédex in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet to not include any Paradox Pokémon.
- If White-Striped Basculin is not considered a regional form, this is the only regional Pokédex in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet to not include any regional forms.
- However, two regional forms are indirectly obtainable in Kitakami, which are Galarian Weezing and Hisuian Lilligant, requiring any Koffing or Petilil caught in Kitakami to be transferred to Pokémon Sword and Shield (for Koffing) or Pokémon Legends: Arceus (for Petilil) via Pokémon HOME, evolving it there, before returning it to Scarlet and Violet.
- Like the other mascots in Scarlet and Violet, Ogerpon's image has a unique gold border.
- Some images in the Kitakami Pokédex reference Pokémon biology:
- Gyarados's image alludes to the myth of a carp leaping over a waterfall to transform into a dragon, the inspiration behind this Pokémon.
- Snorlax's image references its well-known habit of blocking bridges in the Kanto and Kalos regions.
- Nosepass's image emphasizes that it is always oriented to face north.
- Clefairy and Clefable are shown dancing under the full moon, reflecting their lunar rituals.
- Carbink's image depicts how their shiny, jewel-like bodies attract Gabite.
- Some images seem to depict predatory relationships, such as Cramorant with Arrokuda, Starly with Applin, and Appletun with Cutiefly.
