Information

The focal Pokémon for this set were Rayquaza and Altered Forme Giratina, both of which supported the Dynamax mechanic and could be obtained in-game as Grade 6 Superstar Pokémon. Giratina's Origin Forme was also featured on another Grade 6 tag, as were the Galarian forms of Legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres—all of these Pokémon could use Double Moves. Other high-grade Pokémon with powered-up mechanics included Grade 6 Lapras and Grimmsnarl, which could Gigantamax; Grade 5 Swords of Justice Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion, which could all use Z-Moves; Grade 5 Alakazam, which could Mega Evolve; Grade 5 Midday and Midnight Form Lycanroc, which could summon Super Tag partners; Grade 5 Torterra, Infernape, and Empoleon, which could all use Chain Attacks; and a Grade 5 Dragapult, which could also Dynamax. Previously featured Superstar Pokémon Solgaleo, Lunala, Calyrex, Calyrex, and Naganadel could be encountered and obtained as Legacy tags from June 1, 2023.

From the set's launch until June 28, 2023, players who scanned a Memory tag at least once a week would earn a stamp. Accumulating two of these would unlock a plastic raincoat Dress-up Item for players to customize their avatar; four stamps would unlock a Superstar Sensor; five stamps would unlock a Deoxys Emblem; all six stamps would unlock another Superstar Sensor. Players with the Deoxys Emblem would then have a chance to add Normal Forme Deoxys to their Support Pokémon roster during Get in Battle! mode. Players with Memory tags could also obtain three new Partner Pokémon: Togepi, Ralts, and Gothita, which could be evolved through to their final stages by amassing Star Points. Double Star Points could be earned in two stints over the course of the set: between May 11 and 24, 2023 and between June 22 and July 5, 2023. Players using the Mezastar Club at any time during the duration of this set could also receive a digital Support Pokémon Ticket for an Abomasnow and a Present Ticket to unlock a pinwheel Dress-up Item. A limited Present Ticket for a golden origami hat Dress-up Item could be redeemed through the club between May 5 and 18, 2023 in celebration of Children's Day.

The Trainer and Battle lineup for this set included two returning Trainer classes, Gourmet Boy and Courier, and two new Trainer classes in Zookeeper and Mechanic. Similar to the character Hiroki in the Super Tag series, Yūsuke increased his renown over the last two sets to become this set's Star Trainer. Players with a Mezastar Club account could redeem Battle Tickets for each opponent and unlock new customization options for their avatar. Between May 4 and July 5, 2023, players could challenge Star Trainers Yokutar and Hasasu in a Trainer Tag Battle. Those that managed to defeat the pair would each unlock a hat Dress-up Item with a Flash Chance! pattern.[1] A special Battle Ticket was later available through the Mezastar Club as part of the Trial from Lead Explorer Ai campaign, a ranked event that ran between June 11 and July 5, 2023.[2] This ticket allowed players to battle Explorer Ai, a persona sometimes adopted by Mezastar Navigator Ai in Mezastar TV episodes. Participants who defeated her would unlock explorer outfit Dress-up Items for their avatar, with a matching hat Dress-up Item available to those who cleared the Battle Ticket challenges. Players with the top 100 scores following the end of the campaign were also awarded a certificate.
