Plot
Spoiler warning: this article may contain major plot or ending details.
Outside of the Treasure Eatery, the leader of the group of rogue Team Star Grunts searches for his allies after they had left to pursue Penny, who had been listening in on their conversation. Peering from behind a building, he is able to spot them confronting her, but is surprised to see Larry entering to return her Rotom Phone. The grunts attempt to shoo him away by sending their Pokémon at him, and this distraction allows Penny to flee. After Larry defeats the grunts, their leader realizes that a strong Trainer always defends her when she is in trouble. He decides the only thing he can do for now is keep tabs on her whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Violet and Nemona arrive over East Province (Area Three) in a Flying Taxi. Unable to call Arven, Violet asks Nemona to reach out to Scarlet, making her realize she does not have her contact information. The taxi is suddenly struck by a blast of sand, alerting the two to the Lurking Steel Titan's presence below. Nemona and Violet disembark and send out some of their Pokémon, including Nemona's newly evolved Pawmo. Their Pokémon attack the Titan Orthworm, causing it to retreat into the nearby caves.
Violet and Nemona chase after the Titan, but it soon emerges from the cave, stronger than before. Just as Violet deduces the Orthworm must have eaten Herba Mystica, it launches an attack against their Pokémon, sending them flying. Before it can harm Violet and Nemona, it is struck by a powerful Fire-type move. The two look up to see Scarlet, Arven, and Miraidon floating in the air, using Tarountula's web as a hot-air balloon under Armarouge's flames. Together, the four Trainers send their Pokémon to batter the Titan with various attacks, defeating it.
The group proceeds to the back of the cave, where they locate the Herba Mystica. Arven cooks it into sandwiches for everyone, giving the first to Mabosstiff. After eating the sandwich, Mabosstiff barks for the first time in years, bringing Arven to tears. Everyone else, including Miraidon, begins to eat. At the same time, Professor Turo calls, explaining to the group that Miraidon should now be able to jump higher than before due to the effects of the Herba Mystica. Scarlet attempts to ask him questions, but Turo gives no answers, hanging up shortly after. This leads Arven to suggest Turo's phone calls are simply recordings set to automatically play as Miraidon regains more of its strength.
Stating Miraidon has no use to her in its current state, Scarlet begins to leave. Violet asks for Scarlet's contact information to notify her when Miraidon reaches its full strength, but she is reluctant. Despite this, Violet, Arven, and Nemona all receive it. Cassiopeia's voice then speaks from Scarlet's Rotom Phone, revealing they were responsible for sharing it. They then inform the group that the Quaking Earth Titan has reappeared, and that they would like them to take on Team Star's Poison Crew at the Navi Squad's Base.
