MINECON 2010 was a gathering of Minecraft fans on a Java Edition Classic server from May 30 to June 1, 2010, to celebrate the first anniversary of the game's initial Classic release.^[1]

Event

The event was organized through a Minecraft Forum thread,^[1] which served as the unofficial hub for the server. Activities included:

• A spleef tournament.
• A building competition.
• An obstacle course race (a planned griefing competition was canceled).
• A signature wall where 167 participants, including Notch, left their marks.

The server world was made available for download after the event^[1][2] and is compatible with Classic server 1.10.1 and Classic 0.30c.
