MINECON 2010 was a gathering of Minecraft fans on a Java Edition Classic server from May 30 to June 1, 2010, to celebrate the first anniversary of the game's initial Classic release.[1]
Event
The event was organized through a Minecraft Forum thread,[1] which served as the unofficial hub for the server. Activities included:
- A spleef tournament.
- A building competition.
- An obstacle course race (a planned griefing competition was canceled).
- A signature wall where 167 participants, including Notch, left their marks.
The server world was made available for download after the event[1][2] and is compatible with Classic server 1.10.1 and Classic 0.30c.
