A change of plans leaves Haru alone and in charge of entertaining new guests Shinx and Luxray. How will she and Psyduck keep things running smoothly?

    Plot

The episode starts with the concierge Haru and her Psyduck greeting the newly arrived guests at the Pokémon Resort — including a duo of new guests, a Shinx and a Luxray. While showing Shinx and Luxray around the island, Haru encounters Tyler and notices he is about to leave the island. Tyler explains that he is called to pick up a shipment of Berries for the Resort. Haru and Tyler also discuss Alisa taking her leave because of her sister's wedding. Later, Haru finds out that Watanabe has not returned from her business trip due to a storm, leaving Haru in charge of the Pokémon Resort all by herself, not counting the receptionists.

Haru prepares food for the Pokémon on the island, but she is interrupted because Shinx keeps pestering Psyduck. While breaking off the two, Haru leaves the grill unattended and it catches fire, and she rushes to put it out but she trips and causes food to be strewn all over the place. Luckily, Mudkip arrives and puts out the fire. Later at the Resort's vegetable garden, a horde of Diglett pops all over the tilled soil and messes with the garden, and the other Pokémon trying to catch them only worsen the soil. Pidgeot and Dragonite appear and stir up dust all over the garden to help Haru chase all the other Pokémon to go away, although Haru mistakes them for playing.

An Eevee comes up to Haru and asks her for the grooming service, but it is unsatisfied with Haru's attempt at cutting its hair, so Haru covers it with a bow. Haru also tries to trim Shinx's nails, but it refuses and zaps Haru, which causes her to accidentally step on Luxray's tail, leading to a chain reaction that ends up with Haru and the Pokémon making a mess on the salon. The Eevee consoles Haru, which inspires her to round up all the rowdy Pokémon and ask them to lend their help. Haru first assigns Corphish with giving massages, which it readily does with its big claws. Bulbasaur and Diglett replant the vegetables at the garden, while Shiinotic calms down other Pokémon such as Furret and Rattata. Shinx and Luxray are tasked with cooking food, which they accomplish by electrocuting the ingredients to a crisp. In the afternoon, Haru relaxes with the Pokémon and reflects on a job well done.

Suddenly, the Pokémon Resort experiences a power outage. Haru phones the front desk receptionist to ask what happened, and the latter tells her that the electricity may turn back on if she reboots the power system. Haru and a few Pokémon trek uphill to the tallest point on the island, where a windmill stands and the breaker room is nearby. She first tries simply turning the switch back on, but it doesn't work. Haru calls on Pidgeot and Dragonite to blow the windmill so that it can generate electricity from the wind, but the duo eventually grow tired and the power is down again. Shinx and Luxray attempt to help by supplying electric power to the grid, but even their combined power isn't enough to supply the entire island. As the sun sets and the day turns night, Haru dejectedly walks to the Resort grounds, only to discover that the other Pokémon and staff have arranged an impromptu light show, where everyone gathers around Pokémon that emit light. Despite all her hardships, Haru is relieved to have all of the Pokémon at the Resort that help her at work.

The next day, Tyler, Alisa, and Watanabe arrive at the Pokémon Resort to the sight of Haru sleeping outside, surrounded by Pokémon. They all thank Haru for her hard work and give her chocolates as gifts, which she accepts happily.
