    Blurb

Haru meets a shy little Pikachu whose trainer really wants him to be more outgoing. But here at Pokémon Resort, everyone is encouraged to be themselves.

    Plot

Haru's day at the Pokémon Resort in this episode has her giggling all morning. When Alisa asks her what's up, Haru explains that she's happy that a tour group of twelve Pikachu has come to visit the Resort, as Pikachu is her favorite Pokémon. Alisa brushes her off and tells her to focus on work. Suddenly, Haru feels a tugging on her leg, which turns out to be from one of the visiting Pikachu. The Pikachu belongs to a young boy named Nao, who explains to Haru that his Pikachu is quiet and not very social. Nao wishes his Pikachu was more energetic and "Pikachu-like", but nothing he tries has succeeded, and thus he goes to the Resort to meet up with other Pikachu Trainers at their advice. Nao tells his Pikachu to go play, but Pikachu refuses to and instead clings to Nao, so Haru suggests Nao and his Pikachu play together with her and Psyduck for the day.

At the Resort's zip line, Psyduck and Nao both have fun on the ride, but Nao's Pikachu refuses to get on because he is afraid of heights. Haru and Nao decide to try other methods to make Nao's Pikachu "louder". The group tries out shouting in the mountains to hear the echoes, but Pikachu's shouts are too quiet for them to echo. They try Tyler's spicy curry, and later scaring Pikachu, to elicit a reaction from him, but none of them work. At noon, the group rests in Haru's lodging, and witness Pikachu and Psyduck sleeping next to each other. Haru tries to take a picture with her phone, but she realizes its battery had died, so she instead grabs a sketchbook to make a drawing. While drawing Pikachu and Psyduck sleeping, Haru complains that she couldn't get Pikachu's features right, and realizes something about Nao's Pikachu that the group has been trying to figure out for the entire day. She invites Nao to the beach once Pikachu and Psyduck wake up.

In the afternoon, while Psyduck and Pikachu are playing on the beach, Haru explains to Nao on a nearby hill that the Pokémon Resort accepts guests of all walks of life, and that Nao's Pikachu doesn't need to be forced to be "more Pikachu-like", as trying to force yourself to fit a certain expected role can leave you feeling stuck. Instead, Haru invites Nao and Pikachu to simply have fun, by getting some inflatable inner tubes and tubing down the side of the hill. Nao and Pikachu ride on an inner tube together, and Pikachu finally feels like he is having fun with his Trainer. The next day, the Pikachu tour group prepares to depart from the island. Nao thanks Haru and expresses how much fun he had on the Resort, and Haru gifts Nao's Pikachu her drawing. As the ship sets sail, Pikachu looks at the drawing Haru made of him and Psyduck, and finally calls out loudly to Haru from the ship's stern. Haru shouts from the pier, wishing she can have fun again with Pikachu someday.

The episode's ending shows Watanabe tasking Haru to welcome their next guest, which turns out to be a Wailord. Despite taken aback by her guest's massive size, Haru warmly welcomes it to the Pokémon Resort. The episode also has a post-credits scene, which shows a Bellsprout styling itself by putting a flower on its head and admiring itself in front of the mirror.
