- Infinite Psyburn's name may be derived from Psyburn, an attack in the Pokémon Trading Card Game that first appeared on the 1999 Black Star Promo Mewtwo and has appeared on multiple Mewtwo cards since. Mewtwo is also depicted firing psychic blasts from above in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs.
