Blastoise (Japanese: カメックス Kamex) is a playable Pokémon in Pokémon UNITE. It became available as a playable character on September 1, 2021.

Blastoise is a Defender who is able to play a more offensive role than typical Defenders, as it is able to deal large amounts of damage with its moves. Despite this, it can still play defensively as well by shoving opponents around to displace them.

Description

When the Pokémon is at half HP or less, its Attack and Sp. Atk are increased.

Basic Attack

Damage category: Physical (as a basic attack)
Damage category: Special (as a boosted attack)
Description

Becomes a boosted attack with every third attack, dealing continual damage and decreasing the movement speed of opposing Pokémon for a short time when it hits. After the user uses a boosted attack, the cooldown of its other moves is reduced.

Rapid Spin Effect: Basic attacks deal damage in a circular radius around the user, boosted attacks act similarly to how Hydro Pump does when using Rapid Spin, however unlike Hydro Pump, boosted attacks do not shove opposing Pokémon.
