Sword & Shield Series

This card was included as both a Regular card and a Full Art Secret card in the Sword & Shield expansion, first released in the Japanese Sword expansion. Both prints feature artwork by Yoshinobu Saito. In Japan, the Regular print was reprinted in the Psychic Mew V Deck, the Shiny Star V subset, the Single Strike & Rapid Strike Premium Trainer Boxes, the VMAX Climax subset, and the VSTAR Premium Trainer Box.

Scarlet & Violet Series

In the Scarlet & Violet Series, this card was reprinted in the Black Bolt expansion, first released in the Japanese expansion with the same name, with new artwork by Studio Bora Inc.

Mega Evolution Series

During the Japanese MEGA Series, this card was reprinted as a Full Art ultra rare card in the Mega Brave expansion, with artwork by Studio Bora Inc. The Regular print from the Scarlet & Violet Series was reprinted in the Japanese Premium Trainer Box MEGA, MEGA Starter Set Mega Gengar ex, and MEGA Starter Set Mega Diancie ex.

A Holofoil variant of the Black Bolt print is released as a participation prize for the 2025-26 Great Ball League tournament events held in Taiwan,[1] Hong Kong,[2] Thailand,[3] Indonesia,[4] Malaysia,[5] the Philippines,[6] and Singapore.[7] This variant features the Great Ball League logo stamp. The variant released in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand and Indonesia is released as an M-P Promotional card in their respective languages.
