A new rarity introduced in these sets is the MUR (MUR/Mega Ultra Rare) rarity, applied to special gold-etched Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards. Unlike previous Pokémon ex cards with the rarity of (UR/Ultra Rare; Hyper Rare in English), the artworks on MUR-rarity cards are not reused from their SR counterparts; instead, they feature unique artworks with the Mega-Evolved Pokémon standing in front of elaborate circular backgrounds.
