Spheronius

Spheronius was the leader of the Orbs, a species of photonic lifeforms from the Veraflex nebula, and the parent of Radiara.

In 2382, Spheronius led a delegation of Orbs to the USS Cerritos for peace talks with their longtime enemies, the Cubes. During the negotiations, Radiara apparently went missing along with Quadralon, the child of the Cube leader Sexagus. Mutual suspicion and recrimination escalated into a shape war that endangered the Cerritos, until the crew stopped the fighting by draining energy from both sides.

Spheronius was shocked when Radiara and Quadralon reappeared and announced that they had been secretly involved; they then presented their new child SquAaron. Enchanted by the beauty that Orbs and Cubes could produce together, Spheronius declared that their species would henceforth work together to forge the Treaty of SquAaron. (LD: "Of Gods and Angles")
