The Veraflex nebula was an interstellar cloud that formed in the 23rd century from the collision of two other nebulae, which had been home to two different photonic species: the Orbs and the Cubes.

In 2382, the USS Cerritos arrived at the Veraflex nebula to host peace talks between the Orbs and the Cubes, who had been at war since their respective home nebulae collided. (LD: "Of Gods and Angles")
