The Terrible Omen (Japanese: 恐怖のうらないでドッキドキ!? Suspense of the Terrifying Prophecy!?) is the 13th bonus chapter of the Magical Pokémon Journey manga.
Plot
Clefairy is happily painting with Pikachu by his side, when Jynx suddenly appears. Jynx warns him that she foresees "peril by water" awaiting him. She explains to the confused Pokémon that it likely means he is going to die by drowning, then casually exits. It begins to rain, ruining Clefairy's painting. He begins to suspect if this is the peril he is supposed to face, leading him to bring Pikachu with him under a tree to take shelter. As they get close to the tree, it is struck by lightning. Believing to be near the end of his life, Clefairy quickly writes a goodbye letter addressed to Hazel.
Pikachu convinces Clefairy to snap out of it and walk home. As they prepare to cross a shallow river on their way, Clefairy opts to cross via a bridge instead. On the bridge, Clefairy leans against the support railing and accidentally breaks it, leading him to fall into the water. On his way down, he imagines his own obituary and says a silent goodbye to his friends. Clefairy soon realizes that he survived the short fall.
They continue onward, but the rain increases to such a level that neither Pokémon can see in front of themselves. The two eventually come across Jigglypuff's house. Relieved, they rush indoors, where they find Jigglypuff has just finished making smoothies. She shares the drinks with them, and Clefairy realizes far too late that this is what Jynx had warned him about. The revolting quality of the drinks cause both Clefairy and Pikachu to pass out.
