Green Jealousy (Japanese: 恋する少女♥チコ登場 Loving Girl ♥ Enter Chiko) is the 36th chapter of the Magical Pokémon Journey manga.
Plot
Charmander, Pikachu, Clefairy, and Togepi join Squirtle as he runs an errand downtown. Along the way, they find a crying Chikorita, named Chiko, who is upset that she had been rejected by her crush. Impatient, Charmander tries to move on, angering her. Chiko follows them downtown, where she finds the flowers outside Pistachio's shop. When she sees Pistachio, she is immediately smitten with him. Chiko tries to introduce herself, but is interrupted by Bulbasaur, who shoves her away.
Bulbasaur claims that Pistachio is hers, and Chiko challenges her to a battle, leading both Pokémon to use Razor Leaf in the store. After Pistachio breaks up the fight, the two decide to let him test them on their flower knowledge to determine who is right for him. He holds up several different types of flowers, and the two identify them correctly. For the last question, Pistachio holds up a gladiolus, which only Chiko is able to identify. Bulbasaur is driven to tears, fretting she will have to leave Pistachio, but to her surprise, he comforts her. This makes Chiko realize that she will never have Pistachio, and she accepts her defeat. As she begins to leave, Bulbasaur assures her that she will find love, and Chiko thanks her. Bulbasaur invites her to come over again, confusing Charmander.
As Squirtle, Pikachu, Clefairy, Togepi, and Charmander walk home, they find Chiko following them in tears. They offer her words of encouragement, which raises her spirits. She begins to depart from the group, but slips and falls to the ground. Almond helps her up, and Chiko instantly develops a crush on him. This sparks a fight between her and Squirtle, prompting the other Pokémon to walk away.
