Poké-Mom (Japanese: 大好きなクコママヘ To Our Beloved Mama Kuko) is the 35th chapter of the Magical Pokémon Journey manga.

Plot

Hazel, Pikachu, and Clefairy stumble upon five Hoppip complaining to a young woman. Introducing herself as Cashew, the woman reveals her Hoppip are upset because she had initially planned a picnic with them at Pompom Hill on Sunday, but she had been called by her matchmaker for a sudden appointment at the same time. Worried that she will never accomplish her dream of getting married, Cashew is determined to make the appointment, prompting Hazel to offer to babysit her Hoppip on Sunday.

When the day arrives, Almond, Pikachu, Clefairy, and Squirtle join Hazel to meet the Hoppip. To her surprise, she finds there are actually over 20 of them. Undiscouraged, Hazel begins leading them to Pompom Hill. They soon arrive at a bridge, where some of the Hoppip insist on walking on the support ropes. The wind blows, knocking them off. Horrified, Hazel lunges for them, nearly falling off the bridge. Soon enough, another gust of wind brings the Hoppip right back to where they were.

As they continue traveling, Hazel and Almond find it difficult to keep the Hoppip together, repeatedly having to round them up. Exhausted from chasing them around, they stop to take a break, where Hazel asks the Hoppip about Cashew. All of them agree she is the "best mama" they could have, but one of the Hoppip, named Goh, is unhappy with her for failing to keep her promise to take them to Pompom Hill. Goh seems as though it is about to elaborate, but it then turns away to join its friends. Watching the Hoppip, Almond remarks that Hazel taking up this responsibility to help Cashew is very much like herself, making her blush.

The two are interrupted when they hear shouting from the Hoppip. They soon discover that Foo, another Hoppip, tripped and hurt itself. After bandaging the cut on its leg, Almond suggests going home, but this upsets the Hoppip. Goh offers to carry Foo, and the Hoppip work together to bring it to Pompom Hill. When the group arrives, they are amazed to see a beautiful field of carnations across the hill. The Hoppip reveal their original plan was to bring Cashew here for Mother's Day, prompting Hazel to suggest bringing the flowers to Cashew, instead. Everyone works together to pick as many as they can.

Later that night, Hazel and the Hoppip greet Cashew as she returns home from her matchmaking appointment. She quickly breaks into tears, revealing she was rejected again. Sobbing, Cashew apologizes to the Hoppip for breaking her promise to take them to Pompom Hill. To her surprise, they present her with a bouquet of carnations, expressing their appreciation for her.

As Hazel and Almond walk home together, the latter admits he had fun despite everything that went wrong. Almond offers his hand to Hazel. She nervously prepares to take his, when suddenly, a Hoppip drops into his palm. Soon after, the rest of the Hoppip swarm around Hazel, delivering another bouquet of flowers to her. They all surround her, preventing her from joining Almond.
