Rulings

For the "Concealed in Shadow" Ability:[1]

  • The Ability affects Mega Gengar ex itself, such that if the opponent has a Pokémon ex Knock Out the Mega Gengar ex using an attack damage, they will only take 2 prizes for the Knock Out.
  • The Ability only activates if the player's Darkness-type Pokémon are Knocked Out by damage from attacks from the opponent's Pokémon ex. It does not activate with other effects that Knock Out the Darkness-type Pokémon (eg. placing damage counters, Special Conditions, instant Knock Out effects), or with attacks from opposing non-Pokémon ex.
  • Although the "Concealed in Shadow" Ability does not stack with itself, it still stacks with other effects that reduce Prize cards taken by the opponent (eg. Legacy Energy, Munkidori ex's "Oh No You Don't" Ability).
