Great Challenge

A Great Challenge stage for Kyogre.

A Great Challenge (Japanese: スーパーチャレンジ Super Challenge) is a type of special stage in Pokémon Shuffle that has a move-limited format and features a wide variety of powerful Pokémon, including many Legendary and Mythical Pokémon. Early in the game's life, many of these stages gave a bonus reward after completing the stage for the first time. These stages cost Coins or Hearts to play. To play a Great Challenge, the player must have cleared main stage 90.

For the game's end-of-service period, Great Challenge stages began running on a consistent 24-week schedule, with each lasting one week. All 24 weeks have at least two Great Challenges available. The amount of Great Challenges and High-Speed Challenges available in a single week always has a shared total of 5, with three of those costing Heart ×1 to play, one costing Hearts ×2, and one costing Coins ×300.

High-Speed Challenges are a time-limited complement to Great Challenges. Ultra Challenges are a harder version of Great Challenges. Some Great Challenges also reappeared as Great Daily events.

Drops

If these Pokémon have already been caught, they have a chance to drop Personalized Skill Boosters.

The drop rates differ by stage, and fall into one of 3 possible groups, which we will label as Great A-C.

Drop rates can be increased if the Drop Rate Increase (DRI) effect is purchased from the Special Shop.
