Release information

In Japan, all prints of this card were included in the Generations Start Decks. Nine prints in total were featured, which represented the nine generations of Pokémon games extant at the time. All prints feature artwork by GOSSAN.

Internationally, card numbers 143, 144, 146, and 148—representing the Black Belt's designs in Generations I, II, IV, and VI, respectively—were included in the Prismatic Evolutions special expansion. Card numbers 145, 147, and 151—representing the Black Belt's respective designs in Generations III, V, IX—were included in the Journey Together expansion.

In Japan, the Generation IX design was reprinted as an SV-P Promotional card and was one of eight cards that could be found in 2025 Endorsed Independent Event Trainers Packs. Certified Event Organizers distributed these packs at events they oversaw starting March 1, 2025.[1] This print features the Event Organizer logo.
