Battle Pass
- This article is about the Battle Pass in Pokémon Battle Revolution. For the Battle Pass used in Pokémon Unite, see Battle Pass (UNITE). For the Battle Pass used in Pokémon TCG Live, see Battle Pass (TCG Live).

A Battle Pass (Japanese: バトルパス Battle Pass) is a card that contains the information of a Pokémon Trainer and their party Pokémon. They are issued by Pokétopia and are needed to compete in Colosseum battles in Pokémon Battle Revolution. There are three kinds of Passes: Custom Passes, Rental Passes, and Friend Passes.
Types
Custom Passes
- Main article: Custom Pass
These Passes can be made by the player using Pokémon copied from a Generation IV game. Each Pass must have a different design, which is selected from the available Blank Passes when the Pass is created. Any Pokémon in Storage can be used on a Custom Pass, though each Pokémon can only be used on one Custom Pass at a time.
These Passes can be used in all battles except Rental Battles and Trade Battles at the Gateway Colosseum. There are a total of 34 Custom Pass designs in Western versions (plus three unused designs), and a total of 32 in Japanese versions. Custom Passes can be edited freely, as well as reset to a Blank Pass.
Rental Passes
- Main article: Rental Pass
These Passes come with predetermined rental Pokémon. The player chooses one Rental Pass to unlock at the start of the game, but can unlock more as the game progresses by borrowing the Pass and winning with it in the Rental Battle mode at the Gateway Colosseum. Once players unlock Trade Battles, the Pokémon on the Pass may be traded with the opponent's Pokémon. Pokémon can be swapped between Rental Passes, but cannot be removed or swapped with ones from Storage.
These Passes are the only ones available in Rental Battles and Trade Battles at the Gateway Colosseum, and can be used in all battles except Little Battles at the Sunny Park Colosseum. There are a total of six Rental Passes. Although they can be edited once unlocked, the Pass design and character style cannot be changed.
Friend Passes
These Passes are obtained after battling other players over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and trading Friend Passes. They contain the standard information about opponents, like name, location, and number of battles. A Custom Pass can also be saved to a Wii Remote and received by other players as a Friend Pass.
These Passes can only be used in Free Battles, and cannot be used in Colosseum Battles or Wi-Fi Battles. A maximum of 60 Friend Passes can be held at once, and can be deleted to make more room. Friend Passes cannot be edited.
Customization
Name
Trainers on a Battle Pass can be given a name up to nine characters long, or five characters long in Japanese games. The default names are "Nate" for the Young Boy model, "Tommy" for the Cool Boy model, "Joel" for the Muscle Man model, "Cyndy" for the Young Girl model, "Daisy" for the Cool Girl model, and "Natalie" for the Little Girl model. If the player chooses "Confirm" with an empty name or a name composed entirely of spaces, one of eight default names will be suggested. The player may answer "Yes" to accept the suggested name, or "No" to return to the name entry screen.

Character style
There are six character styles in total: three male and three female; these models are also used by the six Colosseum Leaders. The models used for Lucas, Dawn, and the four Colosseum Masters can only be assigned to a Battle Pass through cheating.
In the Japanese versions, all models have light skin. In the Western versions, each model has three possible skin tones denoted by the letter A, B, or C, corresponding to light, olive, and dark skin.

Gear
- Main article: Gear (Battle Revolution)
There are 11 categories of gear: head, hair, face, glasses, top, hands, bottom, shoes, badges, bags, and outfits, most of which can be purchased from the shop. Each character style has eight sets of gear that unlock a corresponding Trainer Title, as well as a special Pokémon outfit worn by the Colosseum Leaders.

Catchphrases
Players can also alter their Trainer catchphrases, which are shown when they enter the battle, send out their first Pokémon, switch Pokémon, and when they win or lose. Preset catchphrases are available, depending on the chosen Trainer Title, or the player may type their own. Greetings and Pokémon send-outs or recalls have a character limit of 24, while victory and defeat catchphrases have a character limit of 48. Certain catchphrases must be written on two lines. For Pokémon recalls and summons, ten characters may be reserved to say the name (or nickname) of the relevant Pokémon. Only preset catchphrases are displayed in Wi-Fi mode.
Picture type
The picture type determines how the Trainer's picture is displayed on their Battle Pass. It can be set to either Head Shot or Full Body, and is set to Head Shot by default.
Designs
Each of the player's Custom Passes and Rental Passes have a unique design; no two Custom Passes can have the same design at the same time. There are a total of 43 Battle Pass designs, six of which are used exclusively for Rental Passes.

Trainer Title
The Trainer Title can be changed. Some titles are unlocked from the start of the game or by progressing through the game. Others are tied to the Trainer wearing specific gear or having specific Pokémon in their party; if the condition for the title is no longer met after changing the Trainer's gear or party, the title will be reset.

Trivia
- Within the game's internal data, there is unused text for a Download Pass feature, as well as space in the save file to hold 30 of these Passes in Japanese versions or 25 of them in Western versions. They would have been distributed using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection under a separate option in the Nintendo WFC menu, and listed as the fourth type of Pass in the Battle Pass menu. The names of the five unobtainable designs in the Japanese versions indicate that they were originally intended to be distributed as designs for Download Passes.
- Within the game's internal data, there are three unused secret gifts in the Western versions. They have the placeholder names "Premium 3 (tent)", "Premium 4 (tent)", and "Premium 5 (tent)", along with the placeholder secret passwords "Bronze Pass", "White Pass", and "Black Pass". This indicates that the three unobtainable Custom Pass designs were likely originally intended to be distributed in the same way as the Pokétopia Gold and Pokétopia Silver designs.
