Cubeez

Minecraft Cubeez were a limited time promotional collectible product developed by Headstart International through a partnership between Mojang and the Australian Woolworths Group.^[1]

Within Australia, Cubeez were obtainable through any participating Woolworths Supermarket^[2] from the 5th of February 2025 until the 23rd of March 2025,^[3][4] and they were available within all BIG W^[5] stores from the 29th of January 2025 until the 11th of March 2025.^[3][4] Within New Zealand, they were available at any participating Woolworths^[6] stores and Metro stores from the 5th of February 2025 to the 23rd of March 2025.^[7][8] There are forty Cubeez to be collected with an additional rare Golden Cubeez to be found, and there are three categories of Cubeez; Character, Creature and Other.

Promotion Conditions

To obtain a booster pack of Minecraft Cubeez, you have to spend $30 (AUD/NZD) or more in a single shop, however if you also purchase the Official Minecraft Cubeez Collector Case for $10 (AUD^[9][10]/$11 NZD^[11]) alongside your $30 (AUD/NZD) or more shop, you receive five additional Minecraft Cubeez booster packs including the initial booster pack you get. Customers are usually limited to a maximum of 33 booster packs of Minecraft Cubeez in an individual participating shop. However, this does not include any bonus booster packs, such as buying the Official Minecarft Cubeez Collector Case to get five additional booster packs or a maximum of three additional booster packs for participating brand products.^[4][3]

Materials

The Minecraft Cubeez cards are made out FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified recycled materials, and printed with water soluble plant derived inks.^[4][2] The recycled paper used for the Minecraft Cubeez cards and packaging was supplied by the "Dongguan Zhangmutou Jinxing Paper products factory", located in Hong Kong. Although, this factory had its FSC certification number (C167826) terminated on the 28th of May 2025 for unknown reasons.

The Minecraft Cubeez Collector Case is made from a mix of FSC certified paper sources, supplied by various companies operating under the same FSC certification number (C017606) within Hong Kong and the People's Republic of China.

• The Cubeez Collector Case has a few continuity errors on its front cover.
  • The Snow Golem, where it has no snow beneath it.
  • There isn't a shadow underneath Steve's player model, despite Alex, Efe, Kai and Noor having a shadow underneath each of their player models.
  • The Skeleton that is inside the cave in the background missing its left arm.
  • Zuri's right arm is being rendered behind the brown mushroom on the small mound behind them.
• The inside of the Official Cubeez Collector Case is printed with the texture of the Creeper's skin.
• The description of each Character Cubeez states they are one of nine playable skins, despite only eight of them having slots in the Official Minecraft Cubeez Collector Case.
  • The player skin that is missing a slot within the Cubeez Collector Case is Makena, the reason being is due to them being a Golden Cubeez character, the Makena Golden Cubeez depicts Makena wearing a Golden Helmet.
    • In the Woolworths Online website's metadata, the Golden Cubeez is referenced as the "Yellow and brown Rare cubeez." with no mention of Makena.
• Only six of the nine playable skins are present on the cover of the Official Cubeez Collector Case, that being Steve, Alex, Efe, Kai, Makena, Noor and Zuri.
