Strnad solar system

The Strnad solar system was an uninhabited planetary system in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant. This system was near the Rubicun star system and one of its planets was a M class planet.

The system was located inside a stellar cluster containing 3,006 planets that were suitable for colonization. The star cluster was claimed by the Edo God, a group of powerful inter-dimensional beings worshiped by the Edo, the humanoid inhabitants of Rubicun III.

History

A planet of this system in 2364 was the temporary home of the Strnad colony. This colony was the home of former residents of Earth ferried there by the USS Enterprise-D. Later, after reaching an accord with the Edo God, the colonists were relocated by the Enterprise-D. (TNG: "Justice")

Stellar cartography

In 2371, the location of Strnad was labeled in the star chart Data and Picard were studying in stellar cartography aboard the Enterprise-D. (Star Trek Generations, okudagram)

This star system was only mentioned in dialogue.
In the Star Trek Encyclopedia, 4th ed., vol. 2, p. 339, it was stated that this system was "named for Star Trek: The Next Generation production staff member Janet Strnad."
