Laser torch

A laser torch was a type of device that utilized laser technology that allowed for easy cutting of materials.

In 2370, Quark intended to use a laser torch device to burn off the panel in order to gain access to old chemist's shop aboard Deep Space 9. Rom warned that the torch's glare might attract attention, and instead suggested that they use magnasite drops. (DS9: "Necessary Evil")
