The Annual Intra Division Pie Eating Contest

The Annual Intra Division Pie Eating Contest was a pie eating contest that was annually held aboard the USS Cerritos. Not including pon farrs, it was considered "the biggest crew night of the year". In 2381 the event featured blueberry pie filling; whereas the previous year featured strawberry.

The lower decks were particularly excited to enter this competition, with Beckett Mariner being confident that command division was going to beat Ops that year, including, namely, Marty. Teams practiced frequently, indeed, in the days leading up to event day, Sam Rutherford had been expanding his GI tract to store more pie, while simultaneously starving himself. D'Vana Tendi had perfected dislocating her jaw for the event.

Unfortunately, Captain Carol Freeman canceled the 2381 event, since there was going to be a reporter from the Federation News Network coming aboard, in spite of Mariner's insistence that the reporter should cover it. When Mariner and the others later discovered it was canceled, she begrudgingly left, stating, "there's plenty to do around here that doesn't end in sugary diarrhea." (LD: "Trusted Sources")
