Water Guard (Japanese: みずガード Water Guard) is a skill in Pokémon Masters EX.

Effect

Water Guard reduces the damage taken from Water-type moves, including buddy moves, by 30%. It does not reduce damage from sync moves or max moves.

Trivia

• Most Pokémon that can access the Water Guard skill without the use of Lucky Cookies can have an Ability that grants them immunity to Water-type moves in the core series games:
  • Cradily can have Storm Drain.
  • Croagunk can have Dry Skin.
  • Poliwrath, Jellicent, Volcanion, Clodsire, and Lanturn can have Water Absorb.
  • The one exception is Kyogre, however, it is normally resistant to Water-type moves.
