Two Factory Heads (Japanese: Wファクトリーヘッド! Double Factory Heads!) was a Trainer Files event in Pokémon Masters EX. It was focused on the sync pairs Thorton & Magnezone and Noland & Ninjask.
During this event, players could earn event vouchers from battles that could be redeemed in the shop. Obtaining 3,000 vouchers would unlock the story area The Results of Training. All battles could be challenged an unlimited number of times except Daily Extreme Battle 1, which could only be challenged once per day. Extra vouchers were automatically exchanged with coins once the event was finished.
The player could battle using Thorton & Magnezone or Noland & Ninjask to obtain +0.6× bonus vouchers; Sawyer & Honchkrow to obtain +0.4× bonus vouchers; and any unlisted sync pairs with the
Battle Facility Foe theme skill to obtain +0.2× bonus vouchers.
First run
The event first ran from October 5 to 19, 2023. The "Thorton Variety Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Thorton & Magnezone for the duration of the event, and the "Noland Variety Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Noland & Ninjask starting on October 7, 2023 and lasting until the end of the event.
In this run, the type of voucher that players could earn was the Steel-themed Event Voucher N.
Second run
The event reran from July 23 to August 10, 2025. The "Double Feature Variety Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Thorton & Magnezone and Noland & Ninjask for the duration of the event.
In this run, the type of voucher that players could earn was the themeless Event Voucher I, and the amount of vouchers that could be received as battle rewards was increased. Everything else was the same as the previous run.
Plot
Sawyer calls Thorton and Noland to the Battle Villa to help him with a problem they have been having with two of the rental Pokémon that they lend to Trainers on Pasio. These Pokémon have rough dispositions and refuse to get along with anyone, which is a problem since rental Pokémon are often given to inexperienced Trainers. Since the Battle Factory also uses rental Pokémon, Sawyer hopes that the Factory Heads will be able to win over these two ornery Pokémon. Thorton and Noland are eager to take on the challenge. Thorton wants to work with the Magnezone, so Noland agrees to partner with the Ninjask.
A while later, Thorton, Noland, and Sawyer meet up with Steven and Cynthia, who are very impressed by how cooperative and powerful the rental Pokémon have become. Unfortunately, when they try to have Magnezone and Ninjask be used by novice Trainers, they are just as disobedient as before. Noland and Thorton realize that Ninjask and Magnezone won't listen to any Trainers besides them, and Thorton apologizes that they were not able to live up to Sawyer's expectations. However, Sawyer says he is just glad to see them listen to any Trainers at all, and he asks Thorton and Noland if they'd be willing to take Magnezone and Ninjask as their partner Pokémon. The two Factory Heads are happy to oblige, as the two Pokémon will be much happier with them than as rental Pokémon.

- Rowdy Rental Pokémon
| Name | Text |
|---|---|
| (Battle Villa; Sawyer is talking to Thorton and Noland) | |
| Thorton | "Rowdy rental Pokémon"? |
| Sawyer | That's right. We have a rental service for Pokémon so anyone can enjoy battling here. But a couple of those rental Pokémon refuse to get along with anyone. They've become quite a handful. |
| Noland | Huh! They sound pretty interesting to me! |
| Sawyer | Yeah, I've got a soft spot for Pokémon with a bit of pride in 'em. But it's concerning when rental Pokémon have rough dispositions. Since they're often paired up with pretty inexperienced Trainers. So I wanted to ask you Factory Heads for help. I've heard that the Battle Factory also utilizes rental Pokémon... And I figured that the leaders of such a place may be able to win over these two. |
| Thorton | Fine with me! Rental Pokémon that are hard to handle? Sounds like fun! |
| Noland | Yeah! Sounds like a great way to put our Factory Head skills to use! |
| Sawyer | Really? Thanks, both of ya! May as well introduce you right now, then. |
| (Sawyer sends out an angry Magnezone and Ninjask) | |
| Thorton | Wow! They're just like you said! |
| Noland | I like the look of these two! |
| (Thorton examines the Magnezone closely) | |
| Thorton | Bzweeeeep! Hmm... I see... I rather like this Magnezone. |
| (Magnezone discharges electricity, and Thorton laughs) | |
| Noland | That leaves this Ninjask to me, then! Hey, my name's Noland! Nice to meet ya, buddy! |
| (Ninjask swoops around and attacks, and Noland laughs) | |
| Sawyer | Sorry for the trouble. I'll leave you to it! |
| (Thorton and Noland get ready to handle the Pokémon) | |

|---|---|
| (Battle Villa; Thorton and Noland are talking to Steven and Cynthia, while Sawyer watches) | |
| A while after Magnezone and Ninjask were left in Thorton and Noland's care... | |
| Steven | Those are some great Pokémon! They seem so cooperative...and more importantly, powerful! |
| Cynthia | Yes, I'd never have guessed that they were rental Pokémon! It's times like this that make Pokémon battle facilities so irresistible to me. Whenever I see one, I can't help but go inside! |
| Steven | Haha, I understand the feeling! |
| Sawyer | (Getting the stamp of approval from Champions...) (I was definitely right to ask those two! It worked, young master!) |
| (Fade to black) | |
| However... | |
| (Transition to two kids trying to battle Noland and Thorton's Pinsir and Bronzong using Magnezone and Ninjask) | |
| Rising Star | Awww! Please, just LISTEN to me! |
| Sawyer | Wha—?! Wh-what's going on?! |
| (Thorton approaches Magnezone and holds up his data-interpreting machine) | |
| Thorton | Bzweeeeep! Hmm... I'd say they've improved by about, say, one percent? |
| (Transition to Thorton and Noland with Magnezone and Ninjask again) | |
| Noland | You mean... ...they've got no intention of obeying any Trainers other than us? |
| (Ninjask and Magnezone cry out happily) | |
| Sawyer | Hmm... What to do... |
| Thorton | Sorry we weren't able to live up to your expectations. |
| Sawyer | No, no, don't worry about it. I was just happy to see these two listen to any Trainers at all. Actually... I wanted to ask you, Noland and Thornton[sic]... Would you be willing to take Magnezone and Ninjask as your partners? |
| Thorton | Huh? You wouldn't mind? |
| Sawyer | Not at all. Now that they've acknowledged your strength, I think they'd be happier with you than as rental Pokémon. |
| Noland | Huh, well in that case, we'd be happy to take 'em! |
| (Thorton holds his data-interpreting machine up to Magnezone) | |
| Thorton | Hmm... I'd say our affinity is around, say, one hundred percent? |
| (Thorton, Noland, and Sawyer clap) | |
